Anyone tried to put an EG or EK a/c setup in their ef? I have determined that since I cannot fit a fan on the front side of the radiator, that I need to get the condenser out of the way of the radiator to keep it from overheating. I'm just wondering if anyone has some tips or anything about doing this little modification...

Anyone ever removed or swapped out the rear mount (the part with the rubber in it)on the crx with the engine in it? I can't get to the bolt on the back side of the mount as it is like an inch away from the firewall. I can get the tranny bracket off and the two bolts holding the mount down that are exposed but not the damn third bolt!

Depending on what tools you have.. I usually use a swivel socket, swivel extension... i have this real cool double swivel adapter from Mac tools.. gets right in there.
I think before the special tools I actually just used a 3/8socket on a 3/8-1/4 adapter then used the 1/4 extension to fit inbetween the firewall and mount.

Ive come up with some concocsions* of tools to get to some tight places, i usually take a picture of the set-up just to remember how I get into certain places. Hope that helps out.

^^ or take the bolt off in front and then turn the mount and then get the bolt off in the rear. I don't know why Honda design that way, sometimes it's pain in the ****.

I found a swivel yesterday at like 12 and i was tired so i put all that **** back together and am going to try again today. If it doesn't work looks like i'm goin to buy a 1/4 swivel.

you can't do that, its bent and when you rotate it, it won't want to turn because of the bend in the mount.

I tried that, didn't work out at all. I even lowered the rear brace and that **** didn't even come close!

ive removed my rear mount with the engine in place before.

like said before you need a swivel socket. try to find a 14mm deep swivel socket. thats what i used. and a bunch of extensions. you have to go between the fuel filter and firewall. good luck!

I believe I used a wobble extension on a standard socket for that rear bolt. And no im not talking about a swivel/U joint extension, there is a difference.

This'll probably be my last whorin of the thread until I do something to my car, but GOOD GRIEF look what kind of wheel/tire setup u can run.

18 x 10.5 rear +19 offset (w/315 30's) and 18 x 8.5 +38 (w/265 35's). I believe he is actually running a small spacer in the front to clear the spring perches

Front= 18x8 et +35
Rear= 18x10.5 +11 295/35/18
