Run low numbers for now, just get the kit on.

Purchase spare block to build on the side for dirt cheap.

Drop in built block a few months down the line, tune, 300whp

Yea the ls can take alot of boost. The guy used to own the car and he said he was pushing those numbers before on the same block.
I was thinking about getting a block and building it just like you said. Bust basically all those prices look good to you guys? If so I may go with it and just have him tune it to do lower numbers for now.

so 350 for install and tune. Thinking about letting him do it. I would hate to run across problems and the thing sit in my garage for another year without moving.

turboing a car is not that difficult, if you can do a swap, u can install a turbo, the most difficult and pita job is removing the oil pan to tab it for the oil return line

It's alright, I'm not a very big fan myself. I was at one point in time, but lost all hope when the 49ers kept screwing up.

People don't understand... An ls can hit 800 HP on stock internals... Its all in the tune... But it won't last! Stick with low numbers and it will be "reliable" for a turbo car..

Yea, shew the more I think about it the more I dont think I going to go through with it. I mean thats 2000 dollars. Alot of money with the economy the way it is...
Plus I think to much about selling the car all together. Do you guys do that...1 min you want to put a butt load of money into and the next you want to sell everything you got?

How many boosted cars have you built and owned?

300whp ls is totally reliable and almost impossible to kill with a decent tune. I have made a 50 dollar ls make 300whp on a mildly tuned base map and for 2 years plus this car was dd and beat to hell by numerous owners.
