Few questions about your setup. Why do you have vtec set so low? Also don't ctr have 9k factory redline? Meaning you can rev your b16b out that far? Not hating on you, just wonder your reasoning?

It's a good car. It does me no good sitting around. I guess when I repaint it I'll have a garage to put it in, and then I'll get all concerned of taking it out.

vtec engagement seems about average from the research i've done...i know it's not the factor setting, but it's good for the way i drive and with this LS transmission b/c of it's tendency to drop out of vtec when shifting

regarding the redline, i believe it's at 8400 rpm...but with the revlimiter, there's a lot of debate about it bring at 9k rpm...i wanted to set it to factory and everywhere i searched there wasn't any actual info except for pics of the tachometer...so i searched on here and there was a big depbae about it, but a few individuals that actually owned a CTR posted their dyno sheets and vfac readouts showing it didn't go all the way to 9k. Also, looking at a few dyno sheets, power began dropping off just before 8800 rpm

VTAK x-over depends on sooooooooooooooo many variables. You REALLY need to get a pro to tune it for you to have the correct x-over point. Also, redline is almost always set past the maximum point of power so that shifting into the next gear brings you back into a higher rpm.

My x-over will be messed up until I get rid of that stupid '99-00 EM1 cold air intake I run

that's what i did and as i stated, they way it's set up is good for the LS transmission...if i were to have vtec engage at 5800 i'd constantly drop out of it even at 7k rpm. and the redline is good...it doesn't put me in the maximum power range, but if i were too worried about that then i would have anything but an LS transmission

okay i see. my crossover is set at about 5200 and ive heard to low is bad, but i wasnt sure. i have accidently set it at 3300 (i was trying to set a launch control, but i only have stage 2 hondata so it wont allow me to) so i dorove around for a while like why the hell does my car bog outso low, and why isnt it crossing over... then i put 2 and 2 together. hahaha

I haven't had time to check the fuses, yet. I'm hoping that's all it is.
For future reference if anyone has this problem, it did end up being a fuse.

When I had my old b16 crx with a vafc, I would sometimes set vtec x-over to 7000 for fun. Power would drop off so bad that when vtec hit it was like using a huge NOS shot lol. It would start spinning the tires in 2nd

my old ls-v setup pulled hard to about 7000 before it dropped off. i cant remember what i was racing, but it didnt crossover into vtec and i was still pulling away hard, haha. turned out my vtec solenoid was unhooked.

EDIT: page 146 ownage! its been a while!

So did anyone have a pic of a charcoal cannister hooked up on a b18 or b16?

Oh and picked up a seat mount from Wedge. Decent piece. I need to change my mounting bolts to longer pieces though. My old ones threaded into the base but not through into nuts and washers. Good thing the car isnt going anywhere just yet.

i dont have a pic, but i know how it goes. one plug goes to a plug on the back of the block(right above the canister) and the other one goes on the bottom of the intake manifold. hope that helps.

wait...? evap or mystery black box on back of engine. i guess both could be considered that.

Thanks guys - I had some yellow silicone hoses from the PO that I wanted to replace with stock pieces. Unfortunately I broke off a nipple from the canister. So now that I have a replacement, I'd like to make sure I have all the lines run right.

If I could get a closer shot that would help.
