Bob, i haven't the slightest idea when ill be done lol, im shooting for spring.
Heres my EF as of today:

Just finished my first autox season and its awaiting a winter rebuild, i have alot of new goodies and ideas, however this has been occupying all my time:

Just got it running a week ago, the last time this car started was in 1976, and came right to life with "minimal" work
Plenty of new parts, but minimal troubleshooting

You guys are giving me great inspiration for my civic now.
Congrats to all with pics of paint, tucks, and other progress. I don't say it enough here, but very impressive.
Hopefully I'll get some work done this winter. And sorry I still havent posted pics of the GTI or the projekt civic. I'll try to get some snaps this weekend. But here's a sample from this past weekend Bonelli Park VW Meet - my car is the second one in the shot, following my friend in the panda jetta coupe and in front of another friend with a 20th anniv GTI -

But let me preface that by saying - NO CAR MADE AFTER 1988 SHOULD HAVE SOO MANY VACUUM LINES!!
Yes, I had a minor vacuum issue on the GTI shortly after taking ownership, I had a frustrating idle issue. I had to do a lot of tracking down, replacing vacuum lines, etc. Turned out it was a faulty part (ISV) which I was lucky enough for someone to give me at the VW meet for free, so everything is working perfectly again.

Nice! Many Vw guys consider bonelli to be the best show in the US for the old watercooled's. Im jealous im not in cali to have gone myself
More pics of the MK1
I know how those vacuum lines go on those cars. The littlest leak and the car will act so erratic. Is yours CIS?

Idle in VW CIS-E - like 20 potential areas to look at, no simple adjustment.
