GOT ME ON THAT ONE. I CAN'T REMEMBER IF IT WAS ONLY HAPPENING WHEN I WAS ON MY 16 OR NOT. BUT IT WOULD DO IT BEFORE WHEN I WAS ON 15 BUT IT WAS INTERMENTALLY. IS 70 @ 4.5K THE RANGE THOUGH ON THE S1 OR B16 CABLE TRANNY.
I TRIED TO TEST IN 5th GEAR BUT THE RPMS DO NOT CLIMB IRREGULARLY.

B16 cable 5th gear doing LA freeway mph's are going to be high. 4.5k rpm sounds about right for 70. Maybe someone with that setup can comment. Ive actually never owned a b16 trans with its og 5th, ive always used an LS 5th.

Paypal is a pretty jacked up system if you ask me.

Man, any of you guys have any of the pieces I'm looking for or the pieces I am getting rid of? lol

I am going to try and make a push to at least finish what I can with what I have, but I do need to wrap up the front end if I can.

I know what you mean and typically i would agree. However the CRF230 had an oem honda kit to use with removing the two baffles. For some reason this bike had to meet some noise standard or something in CA, they made a carb kit specifically for the removal.

MX bikes are insane, just tonight was riding around a buddies supermoto ktm 250, it was scary!

Ive done the swap on a hydro trans and it was pretty much all the same except I needed to use a gear puller. The 5th gears on the 90-91 trannys always seem to pull right off with ease, but the hydro ones didnt.

yeah its a oem kit but you can do the same yourself (on the exhaust at least). thats prolly the best thing you can do to a xr650. ef related.
