If you plan on tracking it, an SFI approved seat will not require a back brace, but a NON-SFI seat will require a back brace. </TD></TR></TABLE>

If the racing organization requires SFI approval you can add a back brace to an F1spec seat and it will be acceptable.

So far my F1spec seat has passed all safety inspections...

some open-track days dont require a special seat or even harness. competitive racing of course requires SFI seats.

07 accord and 08 fit. might be getting something else, but we'll see how it works out with these vehicles.

It's pretty tight in our Fit with two car seats and the stroller. It would definitely be nice to have something bigger, but the Fit is cheap to drive/own. Anything bigger would likely cost me 50% more in gas.

Word. And I have an ioport back brace sitting in my closet I might want to part with for cheap. Some organizations aren't as strict as others.

My sister has two infants and drives a Mazda 5. There's NO extra room with two kids. She's getting one of those coffins that fits to the roof rack.

I am planning on taking the crx to the ef/da meet this nov. Im gunna cross my fingers!

The back brace is for non cert. seats... it makes up for the weakness of the seat and gives it added strength.

Yep, two. One regular kid car seat for the 2.5yr old and the infant seat. The problem with the infant seat is that it has to be leveled a certain way and in order to do that properly, the front passenger seat has to be moved almost all the way forward. Luckily, the little dude is almost 5 months now and in the 90th percentile for height and weight so it won't be long before he graduates to the traditional car seat. That'll free up a considerable amount of room.

Just the other day we had the double stroller, a grill and a load of groceries in the back. The Fit is an awesome family car.

FYI: I don't know about the Accord, but the manual for the Fit recommends the baby seats be placed on either of the sides, as opposed to the traditional spot in the middle. Apparently, the seatbelt for the center isn't anchored "to the frame," as the sides are.

but i havent even glanced at the accord manual and i appreciate the tip. i'll re-read them both while picking out baby seats.
