It was just a thought. Why are u so convinced about the dizzy? Is it simply b/c the tach drops to zero? It dropping to zero means the engine is not running which can be caused by many things, not just dizzy.</TD></TR></TABLE>
well cuz it does it while it is running down the interstate. The distributor is what sends the signal to the tach for the rpm so I figure if the rpm just drops to zero and the distributor stops working while I'm driving and the car is in gear, then something is up with the wiring from the distributor.
It doesnt do it all the time either. Some days it wont do it at all, and it will be consistent for a few days then on other days it will do it every damn 45 seconds and really starts to get annoying.

That is what I was told by somebody else, but when I contacted ICB they said they didn't have any spare sets. Am I really going to have to rock fake decals on my NSX spec regamasters? That's ridiculous.

I heard they are discont., thus harder to find and more expensive. I would check in this thread if you haven't already.

i posted it here for that reason just because i figured that the j's thread doesn't get that much traffic.
i'm glad that everyone is loving the aero just as much as i do. i thought people would think it to be too extreme, and this is just the tip of the iceberg the rest of the car will be just as crazy as what you guys have seen also i'm staying b-series fully built b20 vtec. which is what i have now but its just not built yet, for now it's just a b20w/ itr head.
maybe i'll put a k-series in my next j's project

Well, if you've tried 3 different known working distributors the my best guess would be a wiring or ground issue. Have you checked to make sure all of your grounds are hooked up correctly, tight, and without corrosion? That's where I'd start because it takes all of 5 minutes to do. Also, check the pins on your harness for corrosion or play. It could also be a slightly severed wire so check for continuity. For me at least, wiring issues are the worst to diagnose (if it is the case).

Hey guys question...Today I was driving my car. I started out in first, let the rpms get up to about 6 then shifted to second...BUUUTTT it felt like I missed the gear, I took it back out and still nothing.
So what I am saying is that my car will now not pull. It goes into each gear but its like the clutch is always engaged. Like I am constantly holding the clutch in. Now I checked the cable and its working properly. There is no grinding noises or anything...its just like the clutch will not disengage. So my question is....is the clutch out? What is my problem here guys? Thanks in advance!

Yep...exactly what it does! Sorry never had a clutch go out on me...didnt know thats what it does.

if your car is till running and doesn't cut off its wiring to the tach.
Mine use to do the sam thing. My Tach isn't even accurate. Sometimes its Jumpy and sometimes it seems to work fine.
But if you are not having problems with how the car runs and its only the tach rading that is messed up its a wiring issue.

me either
but I know if you don't have enough transmisison fluid it will slip out of gear.
Also if your syncors are messed up.

i wonder if you can still do the twin state registration thing (not sure of the legality of it though). like registering in nevada and running nevada plates while living in cali. they cant give you ref tickets for a non-california plate car.
i wouldnt mind having a PO box (in nevada) or using someones address for a small fee. i do have a ex that lives in las vegas............. hmmmmmm.
