It has nothing to do with safety or reliability.</TD></TR></TABLE>

You're in a completely different market, a completely different region of the country. OKC is the biggest city in the country as far as square miles. You have to use the interstates if you plan on getting anywhere the same day. Because of that, the cars here tend to have way more miles on them. It's simply not easy to find low mileage cars that are worthwhile. We are the reason NADA and KBB ask for your zip code. They factor in higher yearly mile averages for this region.

You're acting like I hate the Fit and society plus poor shopping forced me into buying it. That's simply not the case. It's a neat little car. The seats fold down and I can move large pieces of furniture with it. The paddle shifter things are fun, it handles very well, all things considered.

you could say that society forced me to get my new car to an extent. I was looking for a late model awd 5sp crv or 5speed impreza outback in decent shape. Good luck.... I eventually got tired of looking at beat cars and dealing with deadbeat sellers and just bought a brand new car. I dont regret it.

I think a Fit is a good daily... or a stock EP3, i would just have to have something crazy hidden in the garage for those non daily days!

i really dont think id want anything but a honda... so not too many choices!

It doesn't matter where you live. There are always old lady's with mint low mileage cars around. Just living out their existence driving their beloved car, that get regular maintenance, and washed, and waxed fanatically. Eventually these old women die, and the car gets sold. That's really irrelevant to my point.

I just hate how society is caught up in this new car bs. They won't give you a loan for anything old, if they do they rape you with the interest rates. I know why they do it, to drive new car sales, because if they don't sell new cars, then in the future there will be no used cars. I just don't like any of the new cars that much. I like the new Si Sedan, I like the new Accord Coupe, but not enough to purchase any of them. Nothing lately has inspired me to go 25k or more in debt. That's all I am trying to say. I like old cars, society doesn't that's all. Your choice of car is your choice. Well in this case, your choice and your wife's. It's cool though man, just because I hate Fits, doesn't mean I hate you. We all do crazy things for women.

Old car breaks, need another car right away, can't wait for old ladies to die.

Me either, that's why I spent $16k. Pretty darn reasonable for what you get.

Yeah your right on all accounts. You can buy military surplus humvees for less than 16k though, It's just something that pisses me off about society. The fact of the matter is, this is the EF thread, so I am gonna shut up now because I am way off topic as usual.

i like my fit more than i used to, but it's still gay as hell. people disrespect you on the freeway and you dont have enough power to downshift and flip em off. all you can do is stare at their taillights and mumble to yourself. weaksauce.

Those of you willing to drop $16k on fit should consider a used wrx wagon. Although not new with a warranty and not as good mpg, they are faster and easily upgradeable. So I've read. I like the fit though, and I think people who buy them aren't buying them for straightline speed. I believe one of you did some butt kicking on a road coarse with a stock fit and some good rubber.

you know whats strange
I thought I was like the only one who was having the whole dilema betwee purchasing a Fit or a WRX
Its funny how this seems to be a thought of other "EF" owner as well.

They have a 08 Fit Red Sport w/ like 100 miles on it that was a trade in @ the VW dealership near my job.
They have it marked @ 19,xxx with a $16,xxx as the mark down price

Most banks will only finance on cars older than 3 years for 36 months or less. When you're talking monthly payments, it made more sense to get a newer, safer, more fuel efficient car for the same monthly payment as an Accord 3-6 years older. Trust me, we considered that.

I bought it for the wife to haul the kids around. I would never consider it for myself. She doesn't understand why I'd rather be driving my 17 year old sedan.</TD></TR></TABLE>

5 years ago, my bank wouldnt even consider giving me an auto loan for anything older than a 1997.
