It will work but you'll have to crank the hose clamps down a bit more. Do what i did and get a fluidyne for a DA application and then u can use the oem spring type clamps. Much cleaner.

Thanks for the info Erik

Hmmm, just out of curiosity, but do you happen to know what the coolant neck size is for a D-series versus the B-series?

When I pulled the old ZC out I remember the coolant neck fitting on the head was ridiculously small and the b-series was definitely larger, but I don't recall by how much.

I dont know the sizes off hand but initially i kept my d series lower hose when i first did my b swap. The top hose i had to use a b one though. i hate the look and thought of tightening aftermarket clamps down so the hoses wont leak on the smaller radiator necks, lol. After the fluidyne da radiator i switched to b hoses and oem clamps and i've been lovin it ever since.

Yeah, still waiting back on the guy selling his Koyo but if that falls through I'll probably end up picking up a mishimoto DA radiator or something similar to hold me over for a few years. Sucks being broke all the time, but hey! -- only 2 more years then grad school haha

Thanks dude, yeah I'm pretty certain that B-series coolant necks are something like 32mm so 1.25" sounds about right. As for the D-series, I just know they're smaller lol. Pretty much I now know that at the bare minimum I need a radiator with 32mm coolant necks...

OEM DA radiators should be a drop-in fit. Someone leaned on my stock intake pipe snorkel thing waaay back in the day and cracked my OEM plastic end-capped EF radiator and i replaced it with a metal DA rad...it bolted right up.

As for the Fluidyne fitment, no idea but I would imagine it to drop right in as well.

It fits perfect, in fact its the same size radiator/core as the EF application just with B series inlet/outlet sizes.

I use the fluidyne and just taped up the radiator necks to thicken em up for the clamps.

Wow...this thread is DEAD today. I finished the y7 swap into my daily.

THANK YOU RYAN AND WOODY!

Just need to figure out why my a/c is magically not working, install a new axle, find out why tach is trippin (only works when I'm on the throttle and jumps around when I turn on my turn signals) and then I'm off to LA this weekend

Im gunna pick it up soon, got it from JSJ brother Jonathan Hella good deal too!

Oh, its a 88dx with a hacked up roof, 1 88 door, and 1 newer... I have a line on new 88 doors and a roof . Its gunna be a full buildup. Hoodfab is doing all the bodywork due to me being a retard when it comes to that part of the car

Looks good other than the roof! You going to swap most of your current krx stuff over, or do a new project all together?
