Organic solvents wont do much against corrosion. Better using a solution of baking soda and water to clean it (and the battery). Then sand it down and paint it. Vega it may be a wise thing to upgrade to a sealed battery like a pc-680
</TD></TR></TABLE>
will do
I was planning on doing that anyway.
It going to end up somewhere in th rear since I already went out and purchased all the **** i need to relocate my battery to the back.
what do I spray over it to protect it after I clean it all up??

You can get an Odyssey PC680 for $75-85 and an aluminum box for it for another $40. If you do it this way, you could put it in the fender well area and not have to move it all the way to the back.
P.S. There is also a company/brand that sells an identical battery, but it's half the price. Rumor has it, it's the exact same battery as the Odyssey. It was discussed in the eng bay thread a while back, but it might be tough to find in 370pgs.

I went out hoping to find a battery relocate box at pep boys but they don't sell that kind of stuff.
Battery is out, extension cables were purchased.
If I get a battery cell i need it sometime like today

James, don't say I never did anything nice for you.

confirmation??
If so I'll get one from Sears while I'm there
If I do locate the battery box from sears and I'm able to use a motorcycle battery...what do I use to pack the rest of the box so it doesn't move around?

Just use an OEM tie down. You might have to drill two holes in the floor for the long bolt holder down thingies.
I'm realizing now that I own a D series and I know nothing about them, lol. It's been all K/F/B for me.
Are all of the D series VC's compatible? I want to shave and p/c one asap.

Yup, that would work. I made a custom one, but it's the same idea.

Walmart have what you need. I paid 30 Canadian on sale. Much better than the 200 I spent on my Braille battery.

It's a tight fit.

We have a place called Batteries Plus locally that sells the pc680, but they wanted like $125 for it, so I just bought it from summit and the aluminum battery tray. I didnt mount mine in the fender like I had planned, because it didnt seem I could since the surface wasnt flat enough without a LOT of modification/welding. I'm trying to find a way to use it in my trunk or creating a type of battery tray that will stand the battery up in the cargo area that I can bolt down. If you do buy some other battery, make sure its a dry cell if you move it inside the car.
Back to talking lgithweight batteries...
My EF still doesnt run on its own due to a stone-dead NRG CELL battery, i bought this to replace my pc680 which **** the bed about 6 months ago. I am pretty tired of spending this cash on these things, and am going to buy a miata westco battery.
Does anyone know if those walmart batteries are sealed? I need to have it in the trunk due to clearances...

whenever you have core charges like that just drive by the car lots. they usually have a few batteries sitting next to the dumpsters. at the dealer i used to work at they had a full pallet of junk batteries sitting all the time. when some of the other guys and i wanted free lunch we would take them in to the parts store and cash them in for $2 each.
