DA Integra's Only
We'll have to play it by ear. My run is in Irvine as well, but afterwards I'll want to come home, shower and swap cars (If I cruise down to meet you I figure I might as well get my Integra out of the garage and put some miles on it
. I'm assuming I'll be leaving the 5k around 1pm.)
. I'm assuming I'll be leaving the 5k around 1pm.)Did some tid bits on my car today after doing a friends brakes today. Can't wait until the AutoX to finally beat on the car after all the stuff I've done.
Again though just to reiterate, this is not making your engine run hot. I'd say follow Andy's recommendations, even though he has no turbo

I'm currently running open wastegate if that gives you food for thought.
Yes
shut it matt! lol. and i has turbo, just not on a car at the moment. further more, i've had a turbo'd car before and have put a few together as well. you just think you're soo cool with your freshly boosted/tuned car dont you?! *** hole!! lol

How's the progress coming along?
Got my first chance to really crack into the car last night since the new tune and wow what a difference cold weather makes!!!
You have 1200+ degrees of exhaust heat coming out of that dumptube when in boost, you wanna keep as much heat away from the compressor inlet of the turbo as possible. Heat robs horsepower, & the way you're describing the way yours is routed, is gonna cause heat soak.
Is the compressor side of your turbo facng the driver's side of your engine bay?
how do you fit a 90-91 lip on a 92-03 bumper?
i was trying it and couldnt make it fit?!
btw mines an aus spec bumper? this affect it?
it seems all the same but i couldnt make the lip fit onto the bumper
ive seen it done tho? are they an exact fit in the states?

haha, boosted cars LOVE colder weather
Reroute your dumptube so it extends a little under your oil pan. Thats what I did with mine.

Still need to go somewhere and get my dump tube made. Crazy bends fo sho!
yeah i know you are lol. my progress.... i have my block almost back together. gotta do oil pump, pickup, and pan yet and then head studs. then its down hill after that. i'm actually on a lil mini vaca right now. went to my brothers 4.5 hours away (about 1.5 hours past pittsburg) of i'd prob have the motor finished up by now. wont be home til this coming weekend sometime, whenever i decide to go back home.

lol not quite at the great lakes matt. i'm still about an hour south of erie, pa. so i'm not too far, but still not quite there. guns....yes there should be some gun shooting before i leave but idk bout any drinking haha

But regardless, he still needs to get that thing routed outta his engine bay, so he can get the most outta his setup. I dynoed my car with & without a dumptube, (and the difference was 40 whp! ::eek:
), but some setups will vary.
hey i have the chance to pick up a set of tein basics for a really good price. So this question goes out to any of the suspension guys, how do you think 7kg/mm front and 3kg/mm rear would ride on a DA?
Woozers, that sounds like a boost creep problem to me!

This setup would understeer for sure with stock sway bars.
7kg/mm = 392lb/in
3kg/mm = 168lb/in
While that front spring rate isn't crazy soft, the rear is pretty darn soft, not to mention the huge difference from front to back. But really it depends on what you're looking for. A quick search gave me 263 lb/in 143 lb/in as the stock DA spring rates. I haven't looked at those numbers in a long time, but they seem about right (but I cant say for sure).
Check out this thread for some interesting talk about spring rates and some listed rates for various lower springs which typically have had much softer rates than we see with current coilover setups.
