Matt my issue is..the da will just turn over with the starter and doesnt even sound like it wants to start..just turns fast...I have fuel and have spark..the spark seems weak its orange colored...I changed dizzy/wire/spark plugs..changed grounds/sanded redid them..checked timing/checked all fuses and it just keeps turning with a small backfire out exhaust sometimes
well off the top of my head i would say change the main relay

Yea I had a similar issue with my CRX. Eventually it went away. I would come out some morning and it would start, others it wouldn't. Or if I went somewhere and it sat for a bit it wouldn't start.

OUCH! Buddy who currently lives in NC just finished his stock GSR, turbo setup.
Dynoed at 320 but is now dropping from 320 to 240 randomly. Compression test in cyl 3 is about 75.

Told him since it's random sounds like a stuck valve or at worst the rings are going out.

That isn't his car. It's our friend Ho's car. The wheels are 15" Mugen MR-5 faces rebarreled to 16X8 +30.

yeah but we both know we have fuel. its spark that we're having a problem with. with both have it, but its weak. therefore, main relay would have no effect on it. and as i said, i changed it and it did nothing, which i knew it wouldn't cuz i already had fuel.

damn, that sucks. id have to agree on either valve or rings. tell him to adjust his valves and see if it makes a difference. if not, time to pull the head and actually look at the valves. then he'll know if its valves or rings

my only argument is that I don't want to worry about every bushing, ball joint and wheel bearing. Things like that seem to have issues with high mileage. And things like the fuel pump that I wouldn't want to replace to build a nice street car. Thats why I would look for something with closer to 140k.

have you ever seen any of your painters work 20 years after its been done?

I will change the relay...I did flick it..But like andy said its not fuel..im getting that..Its hard to explain I have weak spark...My thought is there is a wire loose or ground..Because the motor doesnt even sound like it wants to start..kinda sounds out of time but isnt..Turns very fast... thatss about it lol

yeah unless you were doing a real complete color change, i wouldnt bother with it, always nice to stay the oem color, plus jasper green is an ugly color anyways

A few bits that--all things going smoothly--will check off this weekend:

Recaro Pole Poisition
Autopower Roll Bar
Fender Rolling Friday
Azenis Saturday
Track Day Sunday

Still need:

Buddyclub Super Low Rail
Scroth 5-point ASM FE

This will complete safety and provide a few more events worth of tires.

Those are the best things you can do to the DA. Refresh all the bushings/ball joints/bearings etc..I wish I would have done it first now after having my car so long. It makes a huge difference.
