Went out to drive my car after a while and battery is totally dead this time, no lights or anything turn on...Can someone tell me how long a battery stays good on a DA when you don't have a drain problem? I thought my auto seatbelts were the problem but I have them unplugged and battery still drained out.

how long has it been sitting? honestly, i can't see them going dead like that unless they've been sitting for a good while. sounds like you're still getting a drain somewhere

It sat for a week and it started right up. I checked for drain with a voltmeter and it was jumping from .05 to .07 before i unplugged my seatbelt connector on the passenger kick panel. It started right up after that week, I let it run and idle for about 10-15 minutes since I had no where to go really. A week later (now) it's totally dead. I need to get a tester light to really see the parasitic draw. I've replaced the battery 3 times, luckily i have an Autozone Gold battery with a 3 year free replacement. They're probably tired of me now and I hope the battery isn't dead for real.

I know, I just wish I could figure it out. I've tested my sisters DA=fully stock and that thing can sit weeks and start right up with no problem. This bugs the hell out of me!!! Guess I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow to find out this drain for the last damn time

HEY TURBO GUYS!

Its looking like the 2 things that are going to hold me up are the down pipe and the Drivers side charge piping. Anyway you guys can throw up some detailed pics on how these are on your cars?

Dave, JJ?

Basically I have to weld a reducer onto the turbo to go from 2.5 - 3 inch for the exhaust.
This is getting close to the radiator.

Also I really have no where to run the charge pipe but up through the washer fluid opening and dont really want to do that.

Thanks!

Hey matt if your gonna run a halfcore you would just have to turn your compressor housing so the outlet faces the front of your car and you can run your charge piping like this, its kind of a cheap way for a BackDoor intercooler and the shorter the charge piping the better right ^^

Hmm thanks Steve but my Intercooler is too large to do that.
You have to run a half core in DA's, they are just starting to make manifolds that allow you to run full sized but I still think DA bays are too tight.

So guys I just finished a stock jdm gsr with arp headstuds with a garrett .57 .63 ar. It made 320 on 8psi but then made 240 and am having fluctuating compression in cylinder 4. I have 210 across the board but cylinder 4 was at 75. Either way I find out the problem tomm. and I will go from there. So I might be building it will see!

All that work and you have to sell it now herb? Hustle up some other money and paint people's car for cheap or something! I'd hate to HAVE to sell my car.
