i do the same as well when i do obd0-obd1 conversions. i just go to the junk yard and snag some obd1 dizzy plugs for the engine harness side. then simply de-pin the obd0 plugs from the harness and re-pin the harness into the obd1 plugs. its not bad if you a set of picks. takes about 20 mins or so, maybe a lil longer if its your first time.

idk i just bought my suspension in pieces, skunk2 coilovers, tokico illuminas, then custom extended top hats, its not what i would choose if i had the option, but its alot better than the ebays. I'll admit though, when i had ebay's with front and rear extended top hats it rode pretty good

First I had H&R sports, road those til they blew out, then bought(which I currently have) Omni drag coils. Ride is bouncy but stiff for a reason!(thats what she said applies here)

I definitely have to cheapo coils but they're on Illuminas. Unfortunately, I can't find top hats ANYWHERE and I don't have the time or money (mostly this) to fab any myself. My sleeves actually have two springs. One has a low rate and one is much higher. It drives really well on smooth curves but it's awful on bumpy roads.

i would go for koni over illuminas, but if you're going to drop 500 on shocks, might as well put another couple hundread and get function form type I's

A spring is a spring, nothing wrong with ebay coilovers as long as you're using the right spring rate. I've used many many different brands of sleeve type coilovers from Koni, Skunkworks... to generic ones. They all work fine and have yet to see one that was poor enough quality to be dangerous or even a concern. The main reason I see for not buying that stuff is that you don't know what spring rates you're getting till they arrive.

I prefer to pay for the quality stuff, but the cheap stuff isn't as bad as people make 'em out to be. Now shocks are a different thing altogether...

My buddy has Form Function Type I's and swears by em...I personally have not had a chance to ride in them because he is doing alot of work to his car but he says they are worth every penny...I also rode in his EM1 that had Ground Controls in and it was a solid, non-bumpy ride...not sure how either of these would do in a DA but I am sure they would live up to their cost

If I were to do suspension again I'd stay stock and just change all my bushings with upgraded sway bars and some chassis stiffening and have fun like that.

I can't wait to see what my car feels like with new bushings, balljoints and outter tie rods. Should be driving it in a few weeks. I've had a few suspension set ups and the koni/ground control I'm on now feels the best

All that stuff will make the car feel totally better, Herb. You'll finally get to feel how the car almost felt in 1990 I just need to put my lower ball joints, new upper front arms, and my front lower control arm in with new bushings. I'm thinking about getting a rear camber kit since it comes with new bushings and a oem toe compensator arm, new rear sway bar endlinks(maybe heim) to finish up everything on my car.

Hello fellow HT members, I'm fairly new to my DA only been using it as a dd. Well the engine is at 240,000 miles, and I was wondering what engine to swap to that is smog legal in Cali. Im thinking a b20 non v or another b18a1 non ls/v. Any input that you guys can give me.

Thanks.

oh i see, i recall talking to a guy saying that if you use certain parts from a b18a1, it will make it smog legal.

What would be your opinion for something legal?
