and as far as portflow goes i went with them because im only running the skunk2 tuner stage 1 cams and i seriously doubt i will be up grading only thing im upgrading is from a da to a rsx later lol also how important is balancing crank rods and pistons because i didnt balance them in my build just wondering what will be the negative effect of not doing it

i never balanced anything. i just got my arp's pressed in, the rods refreshed and checked for weight and that was it. i do 8500 limiter, but i shift around 8200.

and yea my battery just sits on the crossmember i just fabbed up a little hold down for the batter and everything works fine. only reason i did this is because i wanted alittle but more length from my intake and didnt want it as long a a cai.

yea i wanna do it because i have that velocity stack and the filter for it is huge and also i didnt balance because i was told it wasnt necessary for what my plans are even though i went with je pistons and eagle rods i just dont want my motor to fail because i didnt and i also dont feel like ripping the block apart just to balance pistons rods and crank and find out it didnt need it

the cranks is fine, all i would have suggested was to weigh the rods and see if they are within the weight of each other. the the same for the pistons. but you should be fine.

They also make battery mount kits to mount the battery on the frame. Think I may need to do some fab work to fit my Intercooler piping in there.

I've never balanced anything either, revved my old setup to 9k(yes it made power).

IMO 3 inch on that setup would be too loud and too useless. Not a crazy enough build to warrant 3inch and it is going to be a DD.

Pro 1's FTW

Thanks!

OEM open ended lugs?! There is such a thing?!
umm, I think you should be fine but in order to put the studs in you have to press the hub off the knuckle so you might as well do it then. Would probably ride a bit smoother.
haha thanks man, yeah i can get you a picture if you like..?

you need to balance everything that is going to be attached to the crank in one way shape or form, such as the rings and all if you want to be exact.

Where did you read that? Spoon groups their pistons into batches by weight but I've never heard about them doing a thing with rings, much less anyone else.

What ground controls? I hope you don't think that pic you posted is ground control, and I have no idea what type of shocks you are talking about.

JJ, I only have a few big things left to buy, then it's just minor stuff like oil lines and such.
Think I found a deal on some precision 1000's for $210.
