lol, not much yet. I was supposed to pick up a set of factory 90-91 gs wheels for some beaters on my way home an hour ago but the kid didn't answer the phone. I'm about to go to my friends in a little to use his tap and dye set so i can finish putting the front suspension back together.
forreal, basically i just bought a ****ing ls transmission, and had to put work into it fixing holes that were stripped on the casing for 380$ dealing with a bunch of ****ing problems just to find out when i hit 80mph on the freeway it was at like 3.25k rpms
Welcome to Honda's... I told you to crack it open and check remember? Sucks dude but I warned you. I told you to check for wear but you could also have counted teeth to make sure the gears are infact GSR gears....
Sorry I can't help you there but I know it can be done. I haven't researched it thoroughly because I haven't had the need to buy a transmission but search posts made by Bense. Go to the Transmission forums, you'll find the info.
well right now i really dont have that many options, i figure i should get my car running the way its supposed to before i see whats going on, worse case i'll have to just sell this as a good working ls transmission and try to save up and pick up a b16 or something iono. its just my fault for rushing into buying something
im not vtec yet, just a b20, would have been nice to feel those shorter gears, i havent even been able to see the power of the swap yet since my l bracket isnt in. hopefully whenever i can get my friend to helicoil my trans for the l bracket i'll get the chance to see what the car can do
well i figure either way a b20 with a gsr tranmission, and deleting the p/s, a/c and cruise control would make a little bit of a difference, i dont expect it to be hella fast or anything, but atleast faster than a stock ls
