threading stuff into the turbo is a PITA !
im not sure on the different turbos but my he351cw uses M12x1.50 oil feed. it takes 3 featings to get to my -3an line. im not using any restrictors.

fun fun! i guess i have that to look foward to...
is that he351 one of the newer holsets with variable geometry?

here is some info on the he351cw.

from what i've read it seems to be good for up to 500hp. it also comes with the 9cm housing. i didnt get into boost much but it built 7psi around 5-5.5k on my stock b16a.

do not use any type of restrictor with the holsets they need more volume compared to the garrets , i'll dig up the exact info i have from holset and post it later. i would honestly say though that a 3an line may be a little small for the hx35's and up
Hello from Japan! I've got a R32 GTSt Skyline with an RB25 in it and a HX35/40 on it right now. It's got the 8 blade compressor wheel BTW. I'm guessing it's making around 540-570'ish at the motor, but I want more (damn evo's). I
I've heard the HX35 exhaust side of my hybrid is probably strangling the motor, so I am trying to track down a HX40 turbine wheel. I already have a HX40 19cm housing sitting here (to big?). Do you guys think that's the right direction, or could I be running out of compressor? I've seen the upgraded 6 blade compressors/housings on HTT.
What about a BEP housing for the HX35 side? Would that flow a lot more?
I'm also considering going HX50 or HX52, but I'm afraid it'll be to big for my 2.5L, but I see some of you guys are running them. I'm shooting for around 600rwhp max.

I have a rebuilt 0 mile HE351cw that i've "shaved" and polished the compressor housing on if anyone is interested. i'm going to go the hx divided route. still has warranty from the rebuilder. no low ballers please. i'll just hold on to it if no one is interested.
this is before I welded the holes in and finished it. looks alot better now but cant seem to find the picture.

whats your current size of the exhaust housing ?
i'd look for something with a 14cm exhaust housing. i thing it can reach your goals and still not be laggy with your 2.5l. i agree that the 19cm housing is way to big.

I got a HX35 with 3" V band and was just wondering where everyone was getting their downpipes from. I was thinking of buying a cheap ebay one and fabbing it up to fit with a V band flange welded to it. Any input?!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hmmm, in your pic it almost looks like it all mandrel bent but I may just get some piping this weekend and fab something up then. Thank you for your help. Any other ideas out there?!
i agree with getting mandrel bends, thats all im going to do, its easier that way. i jsut use the chopsaw and have some fun!!
oh FWIW, i ordered all my tubing to build my manifold, and im cutting my flanges when the boss isnt in the shop
so maybe next weekend ill start getting my manifold made. will def. post some pics, and maybe if im feeling real frisky (i like that word for some reason...) ill make a whole post!
Eric
