hey guys, im looking into buying an h1e. i want to buy it but it has a 26cm housing. are there any other housings i can buy that fit it? i know the hx40s will, but whats the smallest ar they have? also, im having trouble finding just a housing from an hx40. i looked into the BEP housing, but something tells me the .55 ar will lose breath up top, any input on this would help...also another worry i have about the BEP is that one guy bought one to use on an h1e, and only 2 bolts lined up, would that be a problem, im guessing it would be, but you guys would know better. i plan on getting close to maxing this turbo out, 650hp range, which is why another about the BEP housing, thanks in advance for your help.

ill sell you my HX40 with 16cm housing.

i ran a H1e perivusly to this HX40 and the 40 is a whole other world, spools faster makes tons more power. i love it but im looking for something larger now. there is a ton of info i posted on it earlier in this thread.

PM me if you're interested turbo has less than 1500 miles on it.

Only two bolts lining up???? I would guessing he is talking about where teh center section goes to the turbine housing?? You need to use garrett clamps here and there is no problem.

I have a new turbine housing that should be done here shorty for the HX40/H1E turbos. It is a T3 inlet .70 a/r with a 3" v-band outlet. That should free up some back pressure.

They will end up being $220 for the .70. The v-band outlet adds some money to the machining cost. I just got an email from the mahcine shop saying they were going to work on them thurday and Friday of this week. I am only having ten made this round and Ihave three of them spoken for already... so if you are going to want one let me know asap.

Alright, thanks for the info. I may be interested as that is a good price, also is that shipped? dont count me in on this batch though, as i dont have a turbo to use it on yet. Just in case i do go with the .70 ar will i be needing the garrett clamps for the center section also, i remember reading that you carried them, but i couldnt find them, maybe i didnt look in the right spot?

Exactly my thoughts too....VGT?? It will be hard to implement a control to optimize this feature...it'll be sex though

How is it normally operated? Is it variable, or like an on/off actuation?

BTW, i'm still looking for an accurate hx35 compressor map if anyone has one.

I don't know about that specific turbo but true vgt are variable. They have a different map to control this feature via electronic/pneumatic actuation.

its normally a hydraulic (oil pressure) controlled system under electronic control. Normally, PWM techniques are used to drive the solenoid - much like an idle valve.

Yes normally there is a actuator on there as a option. but this turbo did not use that option so there is no control box.
any idea what they are worth??
