hmm, ive got a 2.0 (almost 2.1 i think) liter ls/vtec. 84.5mm 9:1 cp's, manley rods, fully built gsr head, aggressive PnP, 1mm over valves, itr cams, crower springs and retainers.
if i did get the 22cm divided housing. i would have a divided manifold made to pair 1 and 4, 2 and 3. hmm

i found more proof that holset is ahead of garrett (a bit)
holset was making the anti-surge and the MWE groove way before garrett, although garrett had probably played around with the idea before final implementation on garrett's new gt30r

im a cool kid...sure its gonna pull...but my whole point about holsets is not that they are very viable turbos...its the fact that most are **** cheap in comprasion to some other lackluster snails

lol yea. true. there is an hx55 i have my eye on. after seeing dyno graphs, the gt40r doesnt really come alive till 6k.
So its between the hx55 or a pt61

im getting closer on mine, just ordered a kteller 3", got a new manifold, that i think will work. i just put my gsr longblock to make sure it was good and all. soon i will be putting the b16 back in.(while i build the gsr) im going to boost the b16 first.
my buddy is getting very close to having his run on his ls hatch. it is a b18a w cable tranny out of a 92 teg. he has to add a wastegate flange to his manifold, reinstall his ic piping, which he pulled off to weld the bov flange on, build and exhaust(he will probably run open dp at first, not a daily driver)

It also might have something to do with the fact that the HX40 is a smaller turbo.

When it rains it poor fellas. . . .
My setup = still on hold.
Last week, had to replace the radiator on the DD (huge crack)
This week, the fridge/freezer went out. Ouch.
Then, to top things off. . . I just got a collections call from Planned Parenthood. God damnit.
Someday the Holset will spin. Someday. . .
(lets hope before tax season, lol)

aight here it is.

and here is my hood damage. it looks worse in real life.

and thats after i bent it back, the gap was about 6 inches wide.
anyway, i would call his car a sleeper. hes got some black gsr fat fives for it, and some coilovers, but hes keeping it super stock looking, flat black intercooler. all of the intercooler piping is done, he just pulled it off to weld the bov flange on.
pretty much all thats left is putting the ic piping back on, and installing the injectors. downpipe is just tacked fornow. gotta get it welded, and install the wastegate flange.
