You really just have to keep your eye open for decent ones on ebay. Just search for holset on ebay. Buying one new is just too expensive, it takes away from the major benefit of the Holsets, cheap price.

For the life of me I can't find anyone who sells a drain adapter for a Holset of any type...I'm looking for one for a hx30. Are they actually compatible with Garret stuff, unlike their m12x1.5 inlet thread? Like... this....

http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...e=BCS

?

thanks!

Ok guys look today I was at work (peterbilt) and I made a delivery to cummins!!! And while I was there I talked to a friend who said he had a turbo for me!! So I look at it and its a brand new HX30W, so I took it home, I read a lot of the posts in here and someone mentioned it would be good for 10psi on a stock block, well I have a h22 hatch and I want to turbo, can someone please point me in the right direction for getting a manifold and doing something about the external waste??? I saw something about making a bracket for keeping the internal gate closed? I do know that this turbo may be a little small but all I want is 300whp! Thank you for your help and a awesome fourm!!!

You answered most of your own questions. You need a turbo manifold with a t3 flange. You can weld or bracket the internal gate closed. Use a external wastegate etc.

On a side note I have a hx35 12cm housing that I will sell if someone needs it.

pretty sure the 35 would give you better power overall but the 30 would come on strong very quickly and may not carry the peak you want.

It is a T3 flange, but it is much larger than a T3/T04. Good luck fitting it against the engine with most manifolds.

this is my holset crx,

straight LS with forged rods and pistons. 880cc injectors running E85. Holset h1c, you can see the boost dropping off as the rpms rise. Shitty boost controller, so I made my own ball and spring and now boost ist steady at 15psi.

Well, I've pretty much given up on the Honda. I will take it to a dyno sometime and see what numbers I'm putting down. To get more out of the car will require some cash, the only thing left for me to do is enjoy the **** out of this car.

Next move- 125cc shifter kart. Thanks to this thread!

Is there anything odd that the poster above is only making 270hp at 14lb of boost?

Isn't the H1c flowing more air than that?

These turbo's are not for making huge numbers under 15psi. I bet if I held steady at 15psi it would have made 300hp no problem on a rods and pistons ls. So no, there is nothing wrong with it.
