I was thinking of buying a new hx35 on ebay that was missing the compressor wheel.
But i was outbid by 2 dollars.
I found an hy35 comp wheel here on honda tech for 50 bucks brand new.
If it had worked out.... I would of had a new hx35 for 220 bucks. o well maybe i can get another good deal..
Might get a new hc1 for 250. ill keep you guys updated.

I am running an HY35 on my A6. I make a few pounds by 3000rpm, 18 psi around 5400-5500. It spools a few pounds very quickly and the rise in boost is very very smooth and gradual. It isn't like the typical on/off switch big turbos.

So far I'm really happy with it, I probably won't push the setup until next spring though as winter is coming soon here. The record on a gas application with the HX35, which through my research I have found to have a nearly identical compressor but larger turbine is 550WHP, so even if the HY makes a little less than that it's still more than enough IMO, especially for the price you can pick these units up for.

I'm thinking of buying one, but i dont like the idea of a 4 inch down pipe. does anyone know if I can use an hx35 or hy35 exhuast side with 5 bolt 3 inch v band?

you can only use the hy-35 exhaust housing!!! cuz its a clamp style housing ,unlike the rest of the holset turbo's that are bolt styles!!

Anyone know where to get an oil feed line for an older H1C ?
My brother got one cheap for his b16 and needs a feed and drain flange.

My H1C on the d15 came with the stock feed which is working great.
And btw made 202.7 whp @ 10-11 psi. Non intercooled haha.

HX-40 IS LIKE A GT-42 SO THAT WOULD MEAN ITS BIGGER THAN GT-35
NO TO SURE ABOUT A T3/T67!!

Actually, no.

You're talking more like a HX50/HX55 to compare to a GT42R.

A HX40 is probably close to a 35R in terms of flow - maybe a little less. It's really not THAT much bigger than a HX35. Think of it as a SC61 on steroids that spools a lot faster

at work (heavy equipment operator) I operate huge farm(case steiger stx430) tractors with 2 big scrappers behind it.. digging big holes and building big grade hills
anyways they have holset hx55 turbos.. and those things are freaking huge.
hx52 isnt that much smaller. i can only imagine how big it is.

yeah i think the 55 has a 76mm inducer.. but the great thing about the 52's is they still have a small exhaust side only a 16cm3
