I do have a question. How have these performed on Honda engines when running low boost? I know that wouldn't be using the potential of the turbo, but for a daily driven street setup, is that possible?
I saw an H1C for sale locally and am wondering how it would perform at about 7-8 psi on a d series engine.

is it true that with these turbos you can block one side of the housing to help with spooling. i want to use my h1c on a stock block b18b will the work. only want 250whp on 10psi.
ive seen this turbo on a stock b18b and d16 that wasnt even close 500. I was asking a question about helping spooling not horsepower. So if you aint helping me don't say nothing at all.

generally speaking the smaller the turbo, the faster the spool... a 250hp turbo is generally going to spool about twice as good as a 500hp turbo.
so before i tear my hx35/40 down i wanna see if anyone else has had similar problems or if my turbo might just be completely toast, im feeding it with a 1/4 oil feed line and am running a 1.5mm restrictor am i not restricted enough? car runs an average of 80psi motor is a stock b16a2 . but oil is just pouring out of my turbo exhaust and compressor sides. im assuming my seals are toast, but when i look up the rebuild kits i only see 1 o-ring in them, before anyone asks yes this will be the first time i tear apart a turbo to rebuild it, if there's only 1 o-ring and im concerned over nothing thats fine id rather ask a dim question then end up not fixing my oil leak

I'm running H1C on light Tial spring 7.5~8? works fine...spools by 4,000..makes 285 hp, 199 tq....LSvtec tho.
Tired of hearing all that boost spraying out of the dump tube tho...retune soon I hope.

Check the drain setup on your turbo.. I ran a -10 drain with a steep drop to the pan.
. That gives me some ideas
just debating still if I should get it since I wouldn't be doing anything for a few years.
Get it. They're not making any more simple units like these.
i just finished my rsx on a hx35 getting it tuned friday buy debating because white smoke comes out the down pipe everytime i rev it a little any help on what it is BTW im new to all this
thnx
thnx
Im in the process of building my street/race car. The motor is being built but Laskey Racing and sleeved by Bensen racing. I am going to be running my
HX35 with a BWR ramhorn for my street set up somewhere around 20psi hoping to get as close as possible to 500hp on pump gas!
When I switch to race gas ill be beefing up the fuel system and changing the turbo for a precision 67trim or maybe just the 6262 and looking for 700 on race gas.
I know i can hopfully get close to 500 with the Holset but I think 700 on race gas is out of the question with the Holset.
What does anyone think about what Im doing? I like what people say no matter if it negative or positive! helps me figure out what i might need to do!

I think that turbo will semi-safely do 400 on pump. but anything after that your really just asking for it. I think that turbo will run outta steam around 460(dynojet)
I bet it will do around 400whp at 20psi...
I have used alot of these holsets. Some on good builds some on bad builds!
make sure your oil return is unrestrictive. these holsets hate that. i had a kink in my return which caused it to smoke.
500 on pump is alot to ask for. ESP on that turbo. It might happin on dynopak numbers but your poor tuner is going to be thinking something different when your looking for 500whp on pump with a 55trim(ish) turbo.
