i know that a lot of the people in the saab and dsm world like these turboes because of their quicker spool ... should work really well on an ls-vtec

not sure what size the oil line is to be honest

The oil feed normally is 12mm x 1.5 for Holset. I've use a 12mm x 1.5 to -4an fitting to my oil filter housing. Measure the oil pressure going to the turbo and used -10 or -12an return line.
Here the spec for the oil pressure for the turbo

8. Normal oil temperature is 95+/-5°C (203+/-9° F). It should not exceed 120°C (248°F) under any operating condition.
9. Any pre-lube oil must be clean and meet the minimum CD classification.
10. The orientation of turbine housing, bearing housing and compressor cover is fixed according to application. During installation, do not attempt to rotate these components. Inclined turbocharger installation is not recommended. If an installed angle is necessary, oil inlet centreline must be +/- 10 degrees from vertical and rotor centreline +/- 5 degrees from horizontal.
11. Holset permits oil return pipes to decline at an overall angle of not less than 30 degrees below horizontal. All turbocharger applications require a pipe of internal diameter greater than 19 mm which has integrated connectors. To ensure oil returns into the engine under all operating conditions, the return connection into the engine sump must not be submerged and the outlet flange of the turbocharger must be 50 mm above the maximum oil level of the engine sump pan. Crankcase pressure should be limited ideally to 0.8 kPa (0.12 lbf/in2) but 1.4 kPa (0.20 lbf/in2) can be accepted by reference to Holset.
12. Oil pressure of 150 kPa (20 lbf/in2) must show at the oil inlet within 3 - 4 seconds of engine firing to prevent damage to turbocharger bearing system. A flexible supply pipe is recommended.
13. The minimum oil pressure when the engine is on load must be 210 kPa (30 lbf/in2). Maximum permissible operating pressure is 500 kPa (72 lbf/in2) although 600 kPa (88 lbf/in2) is permitted during cold start up. Under idling conditions pressure should not fall below 70 kPa (10 lbf/in2).
14. Recommended oil flows for the turbochargers are 2 litre/min at idle and 3 litre/min above maximum torque speed.

Your going to have to measure oil pressure then get the right size restrictor. Every engine is different and doesn't have the same pressure. I'm running a .078 restrictor.

You can get a Bullseye T3 .70 A/R housing for 200.00. I was running the .55 A/R from Bullseye.

the restrictor is a must i use .08 if u dont say goodbye to your seals, ive seen so many ppl overlook this and wonder why their turbos are burning oil and smokin really bad with very few miles on them.

Been like this for a whole season with no issues

sometimes if u buy a turbo and the company knows its for a honda they throw one in for u right at the turbo if u pull you oil feed line off the turbo u can see it u can unscrew it with a philips screwdriver to take it out. i dont know oof any seals that will handle 70 or 80 psi without failing soon

I ran 75psi out of my 3800 into my HX35 using a -4 braided line... no restrictor, no problems after 20k miles.

similar to my future setup. hx super 40, stock k24a3, ARPs, k20 head, 8000rpm redline, k20 oil pump, 99 octane fuel. It will be an awesome setup and I'm hoping for 550bhp max or 300-350 daily on low boost.

I know very little about holset turbos, maybe they are designed to work that high pressure but i know a garrett won't put up with that for long.

I think I decided on doing a HE351 VGT setup on my D16a6 Vitara. The turbo will at least let me make 500whp... IDK if E85 will be enough to keep the motor together.

Help me out guys. I have the hy35 with the vband back housing. I want to use it, but the problem I'm running into is how to make the downpipe. Has anyone kept their ac and use this turbo. Or at have a pic of the downpipe they used.

It all depends on what manifold you're using

i would think it would make more power than that, makes me question whether or not to run one next

yeah i have a drag log and have a hx35/40 id have to relocate the condensor to have ac or you have to alter the mounting flange but then youd run into block clearance issues , on a different subject does anyones holset spool at idle cuz my compressor doesnt even move
