It feel way faster to. i had to add alot more fuel to the tune. I think it feel better at 8psi than my old setup felt at 15psi. going to the drag strip soon so i will find out.
How did this ever come out?

this was great setup but the size of the turbo was to big. I had no room under the hood to do anything with. with antilag on my ectune i see no need for the fast spool

I have an he351ve here and am seriously debating about making a viable VNT setup for my d16y8. Dsm guys have been seeing 10psi by 2400 or so(vanes closed) and 24 by 4500 (vanes open). Granted I'm down on displacement but our heads flow way better.

Opinions? The manifold setup would only cost about 125 bucks so if it's a total flop I'm not out a ton of money. I'd simply be using a wastegate actuator to control vane movement. I know people have successfully made electronic controllers but they take too much initial setup and tuning to be viable IMO.

The actuator keeps things simple and even underlow load/cruise situations i don't see having the vanes fully closed (it's about a 2-3cm housing at that point) causing backpressure/egt issues. But I could be wrong.

ive thought about looking into this as well but the only thing i saw that swurved me away from it was the efficiency range of these turbos is at very high psi if i remember correctly.

it would be a killer setup tho for sure

this is how did my vgt with a spring. it work great. i could spool very fast. I just had no room between the radiator and engine. Even with a slim fan pushing

You were the one selling the setup on eBay right? I'm the one that messaged you questions lol.

The he351ve map has a broad range. At 10psi on the d16y8 I'm dead center on the bottom of the map

The he351ve has a cast wheel. It's not forged.
Ive seen that video. I'd still prefer a wastegate actuator.
