anyone having problems with boost creep using 38mm wastegate on a hx35. im running low boost like 12psi. have a somewhat cheap manifold the godspeed ramhorn with a tial gate. dont know if the wastegate is too small to get rid off enough air to keep the boost low or if it is the manifold wastegate placement. at the end of 3rd and 4th gear its going up to 16 or 17psi.
I dont know if it applies to b-series but reading on the turbo forums from clubrsx alot people have boost creep issues when they have a bigger turbo and running low boost on it.
I didnt exactly read why this was. It was in a giant thread about peakboost manifolds..i should dig it up.

Has anybody ever blocked off one side of the housing before to help with the lag issue. I also wanted to know who has used a bulleye power housing on a h1c and also do you guys think ill be able to spool a holset h1c with a 12cm housing on a bone stock b18b1 only want to run 10-12 psi.
I have a h1c with a 18cm housing on my b18b full boost 15psi by 5k there is quite a bit of lag but when it hits she goes. I am also looking for a hx35 exhaust housing 12cm if anyone has one pm me
i had the same issue when i had my 38mm gate on my topmount. Its the large exhaust housing coupled with the small gate running low boost. If you want to run low boost on these big turbo's with big exhaust housings you need a larger gate to be able to keep up with the amount of exhaust that is needed to be dumped.
kind of a run on but you get the point.

93ls10.0 you should check this link out. Are you running a stock ls and how much whp you making?

I have that page saved $195 for a stock housing is rediculas if i can find a used housing. Not stock by any means eagle rods, wiseco pistons, delta cams,sk2 springs & retainers, stock intake mani ported, PBT 74mm tb ect there is more
should help alot the 18cm2 housing is roughly a 1.3x a/r and the 12cm2 is a .89 a/r should work well. I also contacted bullseye and they offer a .70 a/r housing this a 3" v-band already installed for $5 more than the 12cm2 unit. Just gonna see if i find a blown hx35 anywhere and use the housing.
That's good to know i might just go and get a bullseye housing since im only running stock block on my b18b1 and i olny want to run 10-12 psi first setup. But i do plan on goin ls/v thought after this setup.
do you have to use a twin scroll manifold with these because i have a h1c and already have a cast iron manifold. They seem to matchup pretty well. Also i want to know has anybody ever blocked off one side of the housing i heard of people doing this on hmt.com.
nope I have a og log mani and it works just fine. you can block one side but guess what the holset isn't a twin scoll there is a word for it but dont remember. it looks like a twin but in actuallity isn't so it would do you no good
