is it possible to convert the HE351VGT to a 5 bolt turbine housing?

also, is it a T3 flange?

I know i just updated a couple pages ago, but i just had to share my improvement.

I upgraded my ssac manifold to a 44mm gate and rerouted the exhaust upwards. It used to be 2.5" downpipe the dumped about midway back. now its 3" and is about 1.5' long. As i stated before, it made 357 with a bad plug wire and 12psi. Its now running off the 1 bar spring and is making a full 15psi by 4500. Its roasting my 23" drag radials in 4th gear rolling into it. Its easily making over 400whp! Im looking for an Edelbrock Victor X mani. and ive got some custom grind turbo Skunk2 cams to get put in. I think with the stock sleeves and mani. and cams and a retune i can get 465 out of it with a little more boost.

What do ya guys think?

Ahh the good old exhaust through the hood days.

Love it dude. People used to love to see flames out the hood.

not sure about your first question. It is not a T3 flange. PM that guy on HMT, i'm sure he could answer all of your q's.

dodge dealer said it was a hx35, from a 95-98.. the last one i had, that was stolen/ "lost" by a certain fab company, had a 7 blade 81mm compressor, but this one has an 8 blade 84mm wheel..

Nice! Don't be surprised if you hit full boost b4 8k rpm's with that setup. Too bad your 7 blade hx35 was stolen or displaced. The 7 blade they say flows a tad more. However you should still get nice results with your whole Twin scroll setup. Where did you get the manifold?

I have an 7blade hx40w that I am throwing a 16cm^2 housing and am praying that my fully built d16z6 head will help with its spool. this is all going on a eagle rod/vitara piston setup. we will see I want it done and just need to get everything back from the machine shop and to drop the biotch in my engine bay. Going to be a little goofy for a DD set up =P

yeah i hope so lol.. it should hopefully hit by 5 if it's anything like other people's setups.. one guy was running a standard compression vitara setup, ramhorn, and a hx40 and hit full by 5 on a y7 head with stock cam, but i don't know what his boost level was.... anyways, i'll have a 59500 cam, z6 head, milled as much as possible (.060??) vitaras, and this twin scroll mani, so i'm hopin i can cut it down some..

sorry, but i'm not telling you who made it.. he's out of business and rightfully so.. took 9 months, a district attorney, and a detective to just get my manifold.. lost the turbo in the deal.. you wouldn't want to deal with him if i told you lol

what size hotside is your hy35? if its an 8 cm that turbo will act alot like a 50 trim with a hotside that is bigger than a .48 but smaller than a .63

if i was building a d i would do exactly everything you have except maybe use a different typ of exhaust manifold

i think you will be really happy with this setup

it shoudl be a 9cm2. and i think the hy35 probably flows closer to a 60 trim wheel with alot less surge.

it may flow what a 60 will i was just saying the dyno curve looked like how most 50's look like on a 20VVW motor

it should make a nice solid powerband

question. I have an hx40 with 18cm housing and the wheel is 57trim(not sure the housing size for the compressor side. it has a 3.5in v band on it.

for a decently built d16 with a log manifold and 3.5in DP. Do you guys think I will have a chance in hell of spooling it?????? thanks to any help.
