Default ITR SUSPENSION - good set up?

Sup ITR owners: I am gonna get an ITR pretty soon here and was wondering what a decent suspension set up is. Nothing too expensive, yet nothing too cheap. Car won't be autocrossed and will not see the track for a while... Thanks!

stock suspension is really good unless you want to lower the car or something..
it got good clearance and decent handling. even if it feels sloppy, you may need aligment or tire balance, or couple other minor fixes. just get the car, and see how you like it, just make sure its nothing minor like i mentioned before you decide to replace.

with a proper alingment and stock OEM tires (re010's) the car will be a surgical utensil.

Stock suspension is awesome. Just go auto-x once and you'll see.

< has BC Race dampeners on the way but that doesn't count

Theres a good reason the ITR was named the 4th best handling car in 1997(beat only by ferrari, porsche, and viper GTS). The stock suspension is pretty damn good....

Stay stock until other things are upgraded, such as brakes and tires.

If you just want looks, get H&R Sport springs.

Edit: here's my R with H&R sports back in the day:

you're gonna get raped by H-T..especially the ITR forum for getting an ITR just to slam it.

you know what i think already. leave it stock and learn how to drive it.

I'm using Touring spec Koni Yellows and stock springs for my beast, ony reason is for the abuse the shocks take during track time...coupled with my A032R's, they make a VERY capable combo.

If you want to "slam" it, then just get springs and save your money and don't get coilovers if you just want it "slammed".

Honestly, unless you are a damn good driver, and have rather serious plans for the car, then the stock suspension will be all you'll ever need.

I have my car slammed just because I love the way it looks. In all honesty though the car handles and rides best stock!

stock + Bilsteins for me .... slightly lowered, but still rides (and handles) awesome.

If you want something "slammed" go buy a lowrider
