Well... I have been debating this for almost 2 weeks now. I just recently purchased an Icebox for my car and I want to finish it off with a JDM 4-1/carsound cat and stock combo BUT i'm debating that over the philips HID kit... oooh... if you're going to flame me, please don't take the time to reply.

Go for the JDM/ cat. HIDs attract cops

 

I'd go with the JDM 4-1 and Carsound as well. If you are interested I have a brand new JDM 4-1 sitting in my bedroom. I bought it from Dave at R&D and never installed it. IM me for a good price

I say go with JDM 4-1 at this time. You won't do much driving at night during the summer months anyway. Pickup the HID kit in the late fall.

Well if you drive a lot at night then the HIDs would be worth it...otherwise the JDM header/cat would be ideal.

 

I don't drive more than anyone else does at night. I mean, I work swing shift (4->12AM) pretty much 5 days a week so that's about it. BUT DAMN, the LEXUS's, Mercedez and Bimmers I drive at work make me really, really want it!

 

The JDM 4-1 gets my vote

 

I was originally going for a JDM OEM 4-1 and Carsound. I got the carsound part and looking for a JDM OEM sometime.

However, I opted for the HID's since I had an exhaust on already (yeah, I want more power but I figured I could wait for it )

so I got the HID kit from Visual Dynamics. I love it I dunno what it is like driving without them now.

It is true though, since we've got Daylight saving's time now, it gets dark later but always fun for night driving

You already have headlights, you've seen what they do - they don't make you go any faster. Take the money and put it into power (or suspension ) mods...
