Speaking of audio, I'm highly considering building a fiberglass enclosure for my sedan. I'm tired of the box I was using and having to move it when I put stuff in the trunk.

I'd recommend you something, but I need to know what woofer model you have so I can look up the specs and tell you what would be best for it. Are you an audiophile, or do you just want something cheap that will work?

You got the svc 4ohm sub so its gonna cost you more for an amp IF you're looking to get the most from your sub. The lower the ohms the more power and amp will push. Without getting super in depth you could have gotten off better with the 2ohm sub. Pretty much anything will power it but ill start with the cheapest id recommend...

That would be on of the best/friendliest priced amps to run the sub imo. Its not underpowered rather over rated just a little for your sub (better to have too much power than not enough srsly its better to pop a sub than over heat an amp and possible cause a fire) however having said that, there are some better priced options you can still use if you aren't the type to blast the hell out of your music.

Those are better suited if you just want to power the sub at some reasonable listening levels. It'll be enough for most normal (not me :p) people.
Whatever you decide try to stay await from Sony car audio. Sony makes A LOT of great products! Car audio is their weak suit.

Not an audiophile, but it must be nice stuff. Box is going behind rear seat in my truck so I'll be using one 12" Pioneer TS-SW3001S4 slim subwoofer. I've always wanted a subwoofer and this is my first brand new vehicle so I'll have it for a while and don't mind investing in some "boom." Also, the box will be sealed. I just don't know anyone who's into car audio!
I use this SICK 14$ pair of hesdphones connected to the Sirius xm app on my phone. Mad beats in any of my trucks. Wooooo
Idk if I mentioned it, but I got a new job at autozone just before xmas. Im finally starting in store training today at a sister store because the store I was hired for just opened and isn't ready for me. I was hired as a commercial parts delivery driver, should be pretty fun, third job now driving vehicles but I sure as hell miss my valet job diving exotics! :p
I keep one 10" MTX thunder X000 sup powered by a Volfenhag 700 watt bridgeable amp. Yes, I know its a knockoff amp, but it has always served me pretty well. I dont need a ton of bump, just enough to really feel the music. I used to have 2 10's in a bandpass box, but that took up too much room as was heavy as fawk, so I got rid of the box with one sub and got a slim wedge style box for the other sub back when circuit city shut down.
I think he was referring to the fact that there is no DPFI option.
I completely understand why they don't want to use brittle, old harnesses anymore. It just royally sucks that I've got $300+ already in the harness and I'm going to have to spend at least that much again to have a safe wiring situation.

To who was asking about the cross-members made of tube stock, its a guy named TypeR or something along those lines. I think he's local to me or used to be. I need to ask him to build me one... I'm sure it wouldnt be cheap though...

Dropped the CRX off today. Will have pics soon!
Np. The 2 ohm would be more ideal. Nearly all quality mono amps are 2 ohm stable. 1 ohm stable amps are more expensive but they pump out some powwa!
here's a question: does the inline fuse to power the amp need to be higher, lower, or match the fuse on the amp?
Remember, a ohm(s) is a measure of resistance, the higher the resistance, the more power that is dissipated by the speaker.
This is why the lower the ohms, the more power the amp outputs to the speaker. In all actuality, the amp isn't producing more power, the speaker is just using the amp more efficiently.
The fuse inline for the amps power wire should be equal to the sum of the fuses on the amps being used. You should also be using a power wire rated to the power consumption of the amps. If you put a lower amperage fuse, you will end up popping it while listening to your music if you decide to push the amp to it's limits.
so what do u guys suggest the best amp will be for my solo barec 15" L7 kicker?? it has burnt out 3 amps i dk what amp would push it its a krazzzzy *** sub..
Not good if you are frying amps. I need to know the specific model you have to give you the best recommendation. I never recommend 15" subs to anyone though unless they want pure SPL. 15" subs just don't have good response/recover from sound frequency to sound frequency. 10" subs are ideal, but 12" subs are still just as good most of the time.
