The Official EF Discussion Thread
good day all, i have recently purchased a header and flow through muffler and rod builders 2.5" exhaust kit from Ebay and i plan to get it all fabed up very soon with shortened hangers so as to not have any problem with the car laying pinch welds, but I'm unsure about a few things, one- do i really need a cat? i don't think my car has a o2 censer after the cat so can it just go away? and two- since it will be bagged and there is a good possibility that the exhaust will contact the ground when laid out would it be a good idea to throw a flex unit on it thanks
by the way these are the wheels that i will most likely be getting, i don't know what specs are pictured here but mine will be 15x7 +10mm with 185 45 tires hanging out on them like girdles on a fat b***h
Gotcha. Not sure, I'll let you know when I get a chance to get over to my buddy's house and pick his up and see if the box has the weight on it. He just bought some not too long ago, and I envy him because I've been wanting a set for my VW, but to get them in the size and offset I want for it, I'm looking at ~$3k... :/ RPF1's would be ****, those are a wheel I'd definitely want at some point along with some Kosei K1's. Matt has tried getting me to trade him my 92's but I don't think I'll ever get rid of them. They are too hard to find in 15" 4x100
i agree, i had to change my head gasket after discovering oil in the coolant and water in the oil, turned out i had blown it out between a coolant passage and cylinder, and mine looked just like that when i tore it down
Looks like youve put a lot of work into her.. cant say its all my style, but thats why its all your car! I just really dont understand the rust thing.. Is it because where I come from rust is the devil? haha
Non the less you seem to have your own style, more of that bazuko(sp?) style.
G2- what did you ever do with that crx, she was pretty.. I remember you putting that together. didnt you do it in the street?!

its hard to explain with pictures cause they really cant do it justice , and when its dirty to boot, but in person when the car is clean the rust is a beautiful brindle color that accents the flat white paint perfectly.
and its really not hurting it despite popular belief, the rust actually protects the metal underneath it just as well as rattle can paint and primer would because once it builds up its self a thin layer of oxidation then the metal under is no longer exposed to the elements so it can no longer oxidize, unless there where some kind of through hole that would allow it to attack from both sides, but surface rust will only cover and stop
it will look a whole lot better after its bagged and laying pinchies with red 15s with 10mm offset and 45 series tires, and after the exterior conversion to 88-89 specs is complete
i will also be getting a yakima roof rack with a basket and spare tire mount and jdm front and rear fogs and jdm tails
then i will put a red pinstripe on her and get some red oem emblems from honda
once the exterior is complete i will convert the interior from blue to black with a crx dash and console, get black racing seats and have the rear seats reupholstered to match them, and of course a full cage and 5 pint harnesses, i'm planning on lots of juicy power for this car
, get rid of the damn auto belts and get a jdm armrest covered to match the seats, naturally
then a swap for a b18c that i will acquire and build on the side (strong enough to take a big *** turbo set up)
and i will be cleaning out the engine compartment of things like ac components and the battery, all wires will be tucked, and the bay sprayed gloss red to match the wheels
then.... what else.....all suspension replaced (every nut bolt and bushing) most of which will happen when its bagged in a month or two, willowood brakes (da brakes in back) and a two step lunch control...there is really to many plans at this point to list but they will all happen rest assured
in any event it will be a bad *** little car when my vision is realized

I don't agree, only because everything you mentioned is what I see every FUGGIN day here in socal minus the rust. Nothing new to me. Do you live in So Cal? You should if not lolz, you'd fit right in... It's the cool thing here, not my style, but it is what it is.

this guy lives in Australia somewhere, it was the fist car i ever saw like this, online or anywhere, this is after he painted it red

but i dont want my car to be just like that one, for starters i really dislike the bosozoku exhaust and the super tall ratfink style boso shifters and NO boso style static drop, mainly because roads are so crappy here, but also because i have a bagged and bodydropped 98 4 door blazer and I'm quite partial to things like that< like i said the scene here is mostly minitrucks so that was kind of what i was raised with, but its fine if a bunch of people has done it already im still convinced that when im done my car will be more unique than anything i've seen in person

Any of you guys interested in a 88-89 hf bumper support or 90-91 Oem front lip? Both are brand new Honda pieces. My body shop guy had them laying around.
