Value completely depends on your location dude. When my first CRX was stolen, the KBB value was something like 1500, but my "local" value was 2600. That was about 10 years ago.

rates still might change. It's still a accident reported that you were in. I was in a couple of accidents that were not my fault before I turned 25 and my insurance went up because of them.

I would know. I just described my Si.

I don't think he was talking about resell value.

I got 2k for mine when it was totalled out then bought it back for 7 or $900 if I'm not mistaking.

My friend just got $1900 for his 90 civic dx.

It was parked at work and it got hit.

Whole front end crushed.

They wanted to total it but he said no due to his car was sitting.

On a different note.

Anybody done the 88 civic hatch door swap into a 90 hatch body?

How hard issues etc?

I did it. The go in perfectly fine. You have to get a torx bit to remove the posts on the B Pillar though. As far as seatbelts go, I'm running harnesses so I didn't mess with any of that.

you don't have to accept it. if you modified your car, you can negotiate for more $$$. if they total it out then that's like them buying the car from you. you can buy it back though if you want. you'll have a salvage title but can fix the damage and apply for a clean title at the dmv

Like Blu said you dont have to accept it.

I did not with my rex.

Started saying done this, done that.

Got the receipt book on all what I had done.

told him go away and give me a better number and don't total it.

They always low ball due to they have a set number they can go to if they low ball and accept then they keep the rest.
