The Official EF Discussion Thread

Someone mentioned a "pickle fork" earlier but in my experience that will just ruin your ball joint boot and possibly mare up the ball joint which is bad if your not replacing it. I've had to many bad experiences with pickle forks on hondas so I only use the bfh myself, works everytime.
I'll likely get flamed for this but either way, Am I the only Honda lover out their that is out right confused at why so many people claim this wheel looks good? I knows it's a Mugen classic but that doesn't automatically make it look good. To me, I see a glorified looking hubcap on an otherwise FLAWless car! The kit also makes the wheel look even more narrow than it already is
.I'm sure I'm alone here but I still can't understand how somebody convinces themselves this wheel is attractive on anything other than a "Relic wall"
Looooooooooooove everything else about the car though, I'm such a sucker for a yellow CRX too

Again, I'll try and get a pic for you later. The car is getting it's usual prep before Buttonwillow this Sunday

BFH always has worked for me.. a little rust blaster cant hurt either.
when Im breaking them loose to replace them, Ill screw on some old bolts and hit it from the bottom up (not recommended if you plan to re-use them)
I find my pickle fork to be more useful when prying axles out.

Seriously ive been in crx mode for the last month.
You guys need one of these things, the OEM Honda ball joint puller:

Has always worked really well for me, but maybe the ball joints don't get as stuck in there considering the climate down my way. It's pretty damn expensive too, I only bought it because DC5 lower ball joints are pretty hard to come across down here and Honda will only sell a complete knuckle so I wanted to make sure I didn't damage them.
Picture of my EF from a recent track day, was plagued with cooling problems all day.

Funny you should mention that, do you really think riding dumped to the ground is safe to drive on public roads? If you just want to look cool, spend your money on an air ride system this way when you wanna look cool you can, and still drive safely at a better ride height.

Jesus you make no sense...
Personally, I'll pass on anything with modded suspension over stock suspension, unless done REAL proper. Especially on a 20+ year old car.

We've been talking ball-joints so I figured I'd show you guys what I do. Ryan learned this from one of his college auto shop professors and passed it on to me.
put crowbar in between LCA and knuckle

Don't be a ***** about it and yank up really hard. Boom. Done. Please excuse the garage remodel dust
