Oh and checked, no fuel to engine, guess I'm changing the pump and filter as well.

I should prolly check relays and fuses anyway huh?
before spending the cash to replace the oil pump try a different fuel pump relay. they consistently take a **** leaving you with no fuel to the engine

Doesnt look like an RR to me, more like a new shock standing next to an old bent one.

Check main relay first.

OKay, will check the relay first as the concensus seems to be. And Fourthgen, you are correct, I didnt realize that until a second look. So I guess Blu is fixing the suspension for resale then?

Good luck considering EF's don't use struts, they use shocks, struts are vital to keep suspension geometry.

Hey guys, quick question...

My dad's 89 sedan has had an IACV/EACV CEL for years now and today I got around to actually running wires directly from the sensor's plug to the ECU and the code did not go away. Anyone have any ideas as to what the cause is? Also, aren't the blinking lights supposed to do a long blink for 10 then continues with single, short blinks? His ECU is blinking short single blinks - 14. I think I have an extra PM5 ecu. Maybe I"ll swap it in and see what happens...

should be a steady 14 blink pause then 14 steady blinks. swap ecu then report back right quick.

Got Matt's car running today. Have to button up a few little things and we should be ready to drive it around. It's been a year and 4 months since the last time we drove it.

Started out as an auto DPFI OBD0 car with power steering, cruise, and AC, now it's got a cable SI trans, D15B, converted to OBD-1, and a manual rack. Can't wait to go drive this thing!

We both had goosebumps when it started to burp what sounded like some fuel getting ignited finally and then BAM it started right up and we both lost it haha. Adjusted the idle a bit, fixed some vac leaks and a small coolant leak and it ran like a champ. Felt soooooo good to get it started.

We were both laughing uncontrollably because it's been so long since that car has run! I can't wait to take it out and do some full throttle runs.

hardest D swap ever? YES. lol

did you change distributors? sounds like injectors might have been slightly stuck, happened to me many times (soak them in brake cleaner and they would usually go after that)
