ok so i just got an engine out of 93 honda civic to replace my old engine which blew out of my 90 honda civic si hatchback. The new engine has power steering and everything to go with it, my hatch doesnt have it, but is there any way to switch it all over so that i can have power steering?

Saw an 88crx si tranny for 100beans today... Said to be in proper working order. reminded me of that discussion a few pages back when someone was looking for one.

Yeah man, that PS pump is trash. not worth the hassle.

Boosted, is the line under the car for safety reasons?

saftey and most racing bodies and tracks require aftermarket fuel lines to be run outside the car. Not to mention the car smelled a bit like gas (earls breathes a little) and i deleted around 6 feet total from the fuel system. I think i determined the perfect mounting place for my fpr, right on the xmember by the steering column, pics with follow as soon as i get some more stuff done.

Good to hear man. I have been trying to figure out how to run my fuel and clutch lines and keep changing ideas. just need to stick to one and get it done! Really want to try out the Jiffy-Tite quick connects, gets pricey.. but I don't plan to go all the way back to the tank.or didn't. I wasn't aware of the track rules, I'm sure their is a lot of rules I am unaware of though! Look forward to the pics!

Sick!
What is used to hook up to the oem tank, just a banjo to AN fitting? Seems like a good idea to go this route v.s. just tapping off the oem line that runs through the cabin. May be a little overkill for my set-up but I may have to borrow your idea.. Good to see the crx getting some love man! and the pan... ****in baller!

It wouldn't be over kill if you ran -6an. Russel makes a banjo that works with the stock fuel sending unit and converts to -6an. This winter the crx is getting alot of little work done, the nickel and dime stuff.

FGH, yes i am running a cat, to pass the yearly NYS inspection. I just didn't take it off this year, the car is already stupid fast and i have been lazy as of recent.

Finally got my EF8 out for a motorkhana day last weekend (I guess you guys would call it auto-x) Here are a couple of photos from a friend, check out the rest of his pictures HERE if you are interested. Apologies for the beaten up appearance of the car, aesthetics aren't a priority at the moment.

Cheers, I have a bunch of 65mm ID Swift springs lying around from my other car, I am just saving up for a set of Koni race shocks and sleeves to go with them .

The car was imported in 2005, all JDM spec cars in australia are grey imports but there are a fair few SiRs and other Hondas getting around, although nowhere near as many as other Japanese models (Skyline, Supra etc.) that were never released here. The Australian import rules favour the importation of cars that weren't ever released here in any form, so since we got the ED9 CR-X (with DOHC D series) importing the SiRs and others is a little more difficult.

Yep that's the plan, track it now, later, and after that . I don't think it will ever be show car pretty but maybe one day it will get the bodywork and paint it needs.
