The Official EF Discussion Thread
AFAIK, Koni Race shocks can handle spring rates of up to 1000lbs.
I looked there. He doesn't even have a conversion kit for DPFI vehicles listed on his site.

Has anyone ever used a boomslang harness before?

I believe the off-the-shelf (OTS) Koni's can handle up to 550-600 lb. springs.
The extended top hats compensate for lowering your vehicle and essentially blowing out the shocks after a few thousand miles. The top hats are recommended for the OTS Konis.
Yes, you can send them in to be revalved and shortened.
Weksauce has OTS Koni'sxGround Control for $890. I believe the SPSS3 Koni's and GC's were about $1400 new

Thanks Nick, as always. At least now I know when I'm unsatisfied and ready to upgrade to a stiffer spring I can send out the shocks as well and basically stick with what I have but better. Would top hats be a bad thing to use on the spss3's? or would they just be kind of useless at that point?
Appreciate the advice!

no i saw that. and if my only option is spending $350 on an out of stock item, then I'll try another site. I went with the JKTuning one. it was $150 shipped.
There's no difference besides $40 for a jumper that they claim is for dori when all the wiring gets done at the dori ecu plugs.
So I love my air compressor. Yes I know most of you have no use for a 60 gallon compressor but with anything smaller I wouldn't have been able to do this very efficiently....

Took all of 2 seconds to do that it's crazy! Got this so that I can completely remove my paint off the car prior to paint. Go big or go home is how I see it!

Word, but it may require a good core harness or something. Just sayin. If it were me, Id spend zero on the dpfi to mpfi conversion (do it myself), then just buy a jumper to obd1 for super cheap.
Just bought a recaro seat, identical to the jdm type r's. What do i gotta do to make it fit the ef hatch? Im a seat swapping virgin lol
Yea I noticed... lolz
I have a harness.. just not happy with it. I get what I paid for.. paid way too much back then for what I got. live and learn.. I recommend everyone to try it themselves first.
Ryan is much better doing this on his own.. I think Chase is the reason I feel ripped, but its the past. As I think back and look back.. I bought it when it was so early in both there careers, calling a cell phone, no receipt, no real business name... shoulda waited. I need to stop ranting.
Maybe we should just have an official titty discussion!

I bought a evasive motorsports conversion and had had no trouble with it at all. It's been great! Color coded instructions and everything. Just make sure you guys squirt hot glue all over the pins on the female end to keep them from breaking off the back of it. They are very fragile.
By all means; please post a link. I have a link to one writeup for it, but it never hurts to have more than one source of good information.
