The Official EF Discussion Thread
As for taking your lady to the bar, if I was even slightly more of a jealous guy, I'd either be dead by now or on Chuck Norris' level. It's much easier to sit back and laugh at the guy's lame attempts at a pick-up and then thank them for paying for your ladies drinks while you leave arm-in-arm, headed off to do the deed

I usually sit back and watch too. My girl is pretty trustworthy. If a guy starts hitting on her and she'll usually point me out, but if he still tries hitting on her, thats when i step in.
Hmm, not sure about prices on the race shocks. but I went through Weaksauce and Im pretty sure I paid under 1000 with 4 tophats. mind you I dont think I have the race shocks. just the normal koni yellow/GC set-up. and shipping to you may be different.
My advice, call weaksauce, have it shipped to boosted as he has offered to EF'ers from Canada, take the road trip and pick em up if that is a reasonable enough of a drive for you.
Does anyone know the price of just the springs? Really want to get a stiffer spring, wish I didnt go so low from the start.

Too much for revalved spss3 konis. Are you looking at 8011 konis? And you don't need top hats with either of those since they are shortened.
Do you know of a better place i can buy for cheaper? you can pm me if youd like
They where mint RnRs, ask crxbart :/, One day I will shine, until then im grinding work out like no other, another paper on deck...
I was unaware of both the options honestly when purchasing mine, b/c I probably would have gone for the spss2 race version. but I do however have 4 top hats which should increase travel by 1 more inch, basically making up for a little bit of the lack of shortening. also, I did not want to disassemble my oem suspension for the oem tops, just in-case I choose to sell them or reuse them.
So in short, top hats will increase travel slightly. the normal sport version KONI should be fine if you plan to run a softer spring. I am unsure of this too but I hope its true...I think you can send your sport versions in to be re-valved and shortened in the future if you choose to do so, If someone can clarify this??
I believe the race version is about double the price of the sports as well.. I am not 100% on any of this, just what I have gathered.. anyone can chime in and clarify or correct. Hope it helps.
Just be careful at the border, if you dont declare and are searched they will seize the parts. Best bet is to have some sort of paypal receipt for a decent amount ie dont show up with brand new Konis and a receipt for $50...
yah i was actually wondering about that. What do i do at the border? because arent you allowed to declare only a certain amount if your only there for the day? How do i explain a purchase of $1000 or more?
you bought it from me, used simple. I once sold a j's hood for 100 bucks lol

I feel your pain! I wish I knew as much as I did when I purchased my set-up... and I still feel clueless. Best way I have come to understand it: You have 2 options of shocks, The sport or race. race being the re-valved and shortened ones, meaning the re-valving will allow a stiffer spring and the shortening will allow more travel. I am unsure of what is actually done to the sport version's but they are supposed to be valved enough to withstand a rate of 1000, I MAY BE WRONG. and they are not shortened.

Weksauce has OTS Koni'sxGround Control for $890. I believe the SPSS3 Koni's and GC's were about $1400 new
