The Official EF Discussion Thread

Well if they can shine up their cars for a meet or car show they should be able to bring 'em out and do with them what they look like they need to be doing. Put them parts to use.
That stuff sort of bothers me. So much support to car shows (which are dying out may I add) but no love for events like that.
Well if someone ever decides to put something like this together, I'm 200% behind you. I'll even donate $100 to the cost.
If you hear a pop up front under hard braking, but have tightened every bolt and nut on the suspension, and it continues....what could it be? blown struts? I have ksports, and have had them for about 2 years...

On another note, I turned down an invite to the Super Street FF Challenge today. I just couldn't make it to So Cal on such short notice
a loud pop from the front passenger side...
From my experience installing Spoon calipers, they seem to be notorious for pad shifting. It can be very loud at times.
you guys are talking about an EF event on track. EF-honda.com has been doing West Michigan Honda Meets at gingerman raceway for years... chris does a great job. last year and this year (its this weekend actually) its a 2 day saturday-sunday lapping event. we'll have a dyno-day/meet/camping/party weekend there in just a fewdays.

one of the best events anywhere. we have people driving from almost all corners of the country for it

skunk2 gave me a spacer with the shifter i purchased, but while installing it I realized i didnt need it, is that normal? Only thing I can come up with is the small little bearings maybe have to be pushed all the way in and then use the spacer.. cant really find any install tips.
Need more info on suspension set-up in terms of bushings and ish. What are you running? Aftermarket crossmember? Trying to narrow down deflection points. Do you feel anything in the brake pedal? Knock-back perhaps???

It's the stock crossmember that I cut the hell out of to clear the RMF replica, but I also braced the hell out of it with angle iron. My build thread has pics of it. It has ES bushings in it. All the ball joints look fine...I don't feel anything in the pedals when it happens. I think I might feel a little something in the steering wheel...The other day, I went under there to change out and a few other things, I double checked everything and found the Left LCA bolt was loose on the frame end of it and the 4 crossmember bolts weren't super tight and one of the radius rod bolts on the Left LCA was a little loose. I tightened all that and I couldn't find anything else loose, but it still does it occasionally. I even pulled the calipers up to see if anything was odd, but they weren't frozen in place or anything and nothing looked damaged...

I went with a single bend.. (guy from JHPUSA said the single bend works better in a crx than the dual, fitment wise.)
Those bearings dont need to go all the way in right? they just kinda sit on the edge. 2 small washers crank the allen bolt down.

That's true too...I'm trying to think of more deflection points in the suspension, but I think they've all been narrowed down now. If it was most anything with the brake system you'd feel it in the foot (at least I'd like to think).
Hmm, I really liked ther dual bend in the CRX, and that was for the most part all stock. I used the spacer to seat them all the way in, flush.havent had any issues.
I thought that too. They are my skunk2 upper control arms that have been on for about 3 months now...Has anyone had problems like that with these before?
I think today I may have felt it in the pedal when I intentionally got it to pop. Still not sure though. It's really hard to pinpoint. Its only started in the last month or so.
i doubt its the upper bj sence there brand new, could be a strut bottoming out when you hit the brakes hard and the front of the car pulls down. ive seen some brake pads or **** rotors that'll make some weird noises... really would have to drive it.. goodluck.

I purchased some "blue" 10.something grade metric bolts in preparation for installing the skunk2 upper a-arms. I hate allen bolts. I got 50 of them for $10 and won't use all of them so let me know if you want a set for your a-arms and I'll mail them fo fwee.

wheres a good place to order some basic stainless hardware for fenders and headlights, tbar hood, etc.. basic 10mm with washers. I dont want to leave in the old hardware thats painted over, think its kinda tacky. I was looking on this site.. galleryfresh.com - they seem a little overpriced though. any ideas?
