The bushings are awful, period. Tons of deflection. The competition bar or a Full Race bar is the only way to go because of their solid heim joints.

I'm just curious, because I have traction bars too, but since this is a discussion, has anyone ever ran the aftermarket front crossmember bushings?

I run ES bushings and love them. Cheap too.

I use my stock crossmember modded for my header and new bushings for the rods.

NO wheel hop at all, and i'm swapped and semi built.

Jake, ask your questions in here. We should be able to answer anything you need to know fairly quickly. you might have to ask it more than once if we don't answer on day one. www.ef-honda.com is also a good resource

Anyone have an idea why I don't have turn signals? I hit the turn signal left or right and my damn hazards come on. All bulbs are functioning. Recently took dash in and out...hmmmm...

I had that problem, one bulb wouldn't work, traced the wire all the way back to the back of the fuse box. The white box that attaches to the back was bad so I replaced it and solved the problem.

Hmmmm, but all of my bulbs work. I'll check out this "white box" when I get home. Thx!

Thanks

I checked out EF-Honda, found some good info...but I'll go ahead and ask my questions here for the time being...ill try to include them all in one post to make it easier

I have a 1991 Standard Hatchback for reference

.Which hatchbacks came with the center console?
.What's the deal with the panel under the radio? It seems possibly JDM Si's or SiR's had one that extended down to the center console and the shifter...?
.What are good, quiet exhaust systems for the EF? I ran a twin loop on my Sol and LOVED it, but I need a horizontal canister now instead of what I ran on the Sol...
.What's the deal with the seats? What can be swapped in? Do CRX seats work? 88-89 seats?
.Do I have to get different rear paneling to use the cargo cover on my STD? I don't see any grooves to slide a cargo cover into...
.Are rear mudflaps more rare? Mine has only the front, and I'd love a full set!
.Front lips/rear lips...what are the best options? I would like something on the front that gives me between a 1" and 2" drop. Possibly Home Depot, but I'd like to get an ABS piece if it's available!

Anyways, that should do it for now! Thanks in advance for your help! Here are some pics for your time

...and a few of my Sol

probably just optional on Si's
.What's the deal with the panel under the radio? It seems possibly JDM Si's or SiR's had one that extended down to the center console and the shifter...?
my Si came with it, factory option
.What are good, quiet exhaust systems for the EF? I ran a twin loop on my Sol and LOVED it, but I need a horizontal canister now instead of what I ran on the Sol...
lots of different set-ups…there’s a thread in the EF section showing everyones set-up though...my GReddy SP2 is very quiet on the street
.What's the deal with the seats? What can be swapped in? Do CRX seats work? 88-89 seats?
rails are different for crx, 88-89, and 90-91. Swap the seat pan of your seat to either of those seats and they should fit

[b]yes[b/]

mud flaps aren’t rare

there’s a thread in the EF section showcasing front / rear lips and sideskirts that everyone’s using

Anyways, that should do it for now! Thanks in advance for your help! Here are some pics for your time

Hey guys...been awhile since I have posted on here. Just got a new toy to play with so of course I come back to HT.

I do have a question...what do you guys think about the exedy stage 1 clutches and flywheels. I have used the OEM style clutches before and were pretty pleased with them. Is the lighter flywheel really worth the extra money? I am looking the the 10.9 lbs one they offer. Ebay has them both for 462.00...well heres the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EXEDY...Q5fAccessories

What do you guys think? Any advice?

BTW its a 97 civic with stock 78. Im converting it over from auto to manual...going to keep her pretty stock, other then a few boltons and such.

I've run their stage 2 and 1 clutches for years now so I do recommend them. Not sure if they're the end-all-be-all, but they've worked great for me.

Yea like I said I had pretty good luck with the OE clutch. I am basically wondering if its worth the 450 price tag?

Just dropped a b16 in a 88 Rex and used an exedy stage 1 with resurfaced OEM flywheel.(Cable trans.)
And Have a exedy stage 1 with lightweight flywheel going on my jdm gsr. (hydro)

I recommend it..

I know I can search for these answers... but call me lazy. im sure some of you guys may know off the top of your head. just put my daily together, a obd0 jdm b16 in a 88 crx si... couple things im held up on. not huge.

-Does anyone know where I can find a diagram for the vacuum lines? idle is a little rough.

-whats the best way of setting up the speedometer? as i look from my single, to my jdm b16 to my jdm gsr.. there all different. can I just use my single cable and pop out the sensor on the single trans? the speed sensor on the b16 now has two lines coming off it...

Thanks for the help.. Ill post some pics tomorrow now that shes a little more respectable.

Yea hotsauce thats pretty much the exact same setup I have on one of my stock crx's...just get the stock flywheel resurfaced. But I am wanting to try the lighterweight to see if I can tell a difference. What brand of flywheel are you going with?

BTW there is a link somewhere on here of the b16 vac lines...I remember seeing it acouple years ago. You could prob find it faster then me though since I left this site just shortly after they changed it.
