Ehh, you'd know if it was an LS or a vtec trans pretty fast, regardless of rim diameter. I thought you had the trans out of the car, which is why i suggested what i did, b/c I wouldn't waste the time of installing it in a car to find out what trans it is. Too much work...easier to split the case and get your count on.

Its probably a vtec YS1 that you have. Whats your rpms at in 5th going like 75-80? Should be pretty damn high, like upwards of 4.5k+.

Using them for daily driving? Why not? Most of your stopping power is in the front though. Use shitty pads in the rear and decent ones up front if you can.

I've heard you need to be careful about running aggressive pads with those Brembo blanks. My brother used some EBC pads with his and they chewed up his rotors pretty quick. Just what I've heard. *shrug*

I now have a complete EF a/c system (Sanden) for sale if anyone is interested.

Thats odd. Its either an LS tranny or a vtec one with an LS 5th (doubtful).

Good to know. i'm using brembo blanks as well. Just using shitty autozone pads though. Luckily they(brembos) are cheaper to buy than autozone blanks.

I agree with boosted though, and think about his...if you have the old school R12 stuff, some places *might* even pay you for it! Its a bit more costly than 134a and can be harder to come by.
Well the a/c doesn't work right now. The compressor clunked out a good solid year ago, probably due to it not having enough in it I bet. The compressor can't bolt up either (matsushitty) to my bracket so I can't drive around with it.

I'm not paying some Joe 300-400 to install it all for me, I just need to know what to put in place for him to retrofit it. I have a friend at Acura who may help out with evacuating the lines, but most likely it'll be a DIY process.

so...
*purge schrader valve wherever it's located
*unhook soft part of the lines right by the header
*pull out the compressor along with those soft lines
*oil up new compressor spin by hand 30 times or so
*put seals on lines
*swap out driers

what else.

Si/DX is the same, hf are smaller from what I heard. I believe the spline count is the same but the axles sizing is different?

i wouldn't use paint remover

use a engine degreaser or carb cleaner. That stuff works perfect for motor and as far as i know no harm or damage.
Then just pressure wash it after that.

Lets say you use the paint remover and don't get it all out...
Might cause a problem setting on the metal like that for a long period of time.
