Arguably, finishing the project is when money gets wasted. That is called investing in something with a negative return. You might as well buy GM stock at this point.

It's not about the money anymore man. It's for the love of the cars, and the passion you pour into them. The cars are still not worth near what is put into them, but that is fine with me. I'll never sell my car I built, and have been building it for me. It provides more joy to me, than anything else in this world. I wouldn't of wasted the money any other way.

I suppose better is a relative term. I scrapped my project in favor of an investment with a postitive return. In six months its already yielded a 4% return. I would call that better.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
Don't worry man, I wasn't signaling you out. I was more learning to joe, and gabe. You car was gonna be sick, don't get me wrong, but you had to do what you thought was right. I respect that, and I respect Joe's decision. Not sure what Gabe's reason was, but I hope it was good. I just urge people to indulge in your own self indulgence more, and build a car, and don't let anything get in the way. Don't stop until it is done.
Again, it's not about money. It's about the soul.

It's obvious you've never had someone close to you take their own life or you wouldn't throw that phrase around so carelessly.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Sorry if that may have offended you, for obviously you have lost someone close to suicide. The fact of the matter is you should never give up on either things, your life or your crx. There is always tomorrow. My car has sat for years at a time. It will always rise again though. Never going to sell out.

Sometimes life gets in the way. We all have loved our projects dearly, and lord knows I've had my fair share of them. But you do what you need to as you need to, and sometimes that involves giving up something you like for for something that is needed.
It happens.
For me, giving up my crx for a gti was not ideal, but needed for now.
It is just pretty interesting to see so many people letting go around the same time.
Age maybe? (Us not the car).

Crxs are a giant waste of money and time, but what else would i be doing? At time i think about giving up but im 26 and single, no real need to commit to giving up. I understand joe and matt's situation and they did what htey had to do. I just gotta make sure i keep it to face shots and no little ones to spoil my plans. It keeps me sane when i need a break from chemistry so....

That guy was local to me from about 5 years ago or so. Once the S2k came out, he pulled out the DSM powerplant, and went F20C powered. It is crazy, and horrible looking.

Mine was and is not finished, but I didn't sell it. I couldn't stand it's half finished state, so I had to put it down for awhile so I could get it right. I am back to working on it too. I just spent a few hours working on one of my valve covers tonight. I'm taking a break from the routine of cutting out worthless wires tonight, and spending it sanding.

Polishing, well sanding for the next 10hrs or so, and then polishing.

Never, I have all my expensive parts hidden in different places. No need to throw off thieves anymore. If they break in my shop now, they will just steal tools, and a few grand in parts. Plus my dad is now the airport manager, and is out there allot more.

I don't really like the new STi's. As a matter of fact every year that passes I like new cars less, and less. I like GC8 chassis Subies, after that not so much. The Z06, TT 997, and most Ferraris, are the only new cars I like. As for the progress it is not really pic worthy. Once I start twisting tubes up, or get the wires in a somewhat clean state, then I will take pics. Ban me if you must.

Are you serious? FWD Hondas are some of the best turning cars every built. The weakness is going to be straight line traction which is obvious.
