If they fit, the rear will probably be that extra 1/2" higher. I am assuming you are using civic control arms.

they fit but you will have about 1 less inch of suspension travel over stock-not a good thing when your lowered...i had some da rear shocks on my car for a while...it would bottom out constantly...just buy some car-specific shocks for the civic</TD></TR></TABLE>

where you on coilovers of lowering springs

I looked up the Spring rate for the DA vs. the ED

Rear spring rate on Tein Sport lowering springs for DA is 140lbs and 2.5mm ride height -1.97"

for civic its 120lbs and 2.2mm and ride height is -1.46"

does that mmatter or is it the strut??
on civic on the rear it's

They are talking about strut travel, not spring rates.

The springs don't really matter. That small difference in rate won't be noticable, especially with a full interior. The strut travel is the issue. Like stefndog said, if the strut is longer, the travel will be less. You should do it right and buy the correct suspension for the car.

I just installed mine a few weeks ago. I had the same problem at first because I used USDM bumper brackets. To fix this problem about the gap, just use the JDM CRX bumper brackets, mine came with the front end conversion I got, so I swapped it with the USDM bumper brackets and it solved my problem. If not, then you will need to modify, move your USDM bumper brackets up about half an inch.

Mine is an EF6, I doubted it makes any fitment issue since it's the same. Mine doesn't have a bumper support, but it did have the bumper brackets, in which I swapped out from my USDM bumper brackets. Just modify and move your bumper brackets up about half an inch like I stated, and you'll be fine.

Sure does lol

But not anymore, all i have to do is cut the bumper support holes larger so i can move it up another 3/16-1/4 and should be mint

anyone interested in a set of glass edm headlights. i, with luck, will be getting 2 pairs soon. one pair goes to civicandy and the other pair will either be mine if i stay usdm front (not likely) or will be up for sale. they are one bulb/zc headlights.

Anyone know the easiest way of putting in a motor by yourself?

I was thinking of taking my engine lift and hoisting the car up by the crossmember all the way, then sliding the motor under, then dropping the car over the motor.

Would I have to remove the rear trans bracket so that it clears the rear crossmember or should I bolt that up first?

D-series by the way

if you are going to do that you may as well just put the car on jackstands.

yes, it will come out the bottom if you take teh trans mount off the tranny. you will need to slide it forward when lowering it. i recomend getting at least one other person to help negotiate it though. 200+lbs does not feel good when it lands on your fingers.

Chemist I feel you on that one. I always helped my friends out with theirs and now they're nowhere to be found. Whatever I'm over it. I got the car high enough, got the passenger side radius rod off (I know so don't even say it). Tomorrow I'm gonna lower the car onto the motor and hope everything works out. My friend who has never worked on a car before might help. I think he's bringing the weed Sigh, ******* cars.

On a lighter note, I might be getting a black SI for a daily

You can remove the motor yourself from the top if you have a cherry picker. I've removed/installed this way several times. To go from the bottom is much harder. It's too hard to position it right by yourself to get it out. Go rent a lift and a buddy at A-Z
