well its in...
but good lord did we have some trouble spots.
next year I'll have the mounts replaced because this is way to close for comfort for me.

engine sits almost perfect other then that. Directly up right and even across the top.
Old skool HCP adapter kit gets a from me other then the firewall thing.

HCP adapter kit. Your able to retain using your OEM mounts with it which is a plus for me. Old_honda said he never had a problem with them. I can't reach my hand in the back anymore but I can use whatever header I want w/out hacking my crossmember

Yeah, that's hella close to the firewall. And with stock mounts, you are bound to have some friction if you run the motor hard. As for the alternator, I usually do a little banging right there so that the pulley has no problems.

But for you. My little girl did his first swap. How cute

You know, as long as the IM doesn't hit the firewall, that's not a bad set up. It's always a good thing to get the engine as far back as possible.

That sits real far back! when you get new mounts buy a xmember and you will have all the clearence you need. Im running Place racing mounts for now because i got them for 25 bucks haha, and im going k so i need to penny pinch. But im running a Inovative xmember and i have alllllot of clearence with my itr header.

First time doing this so is it possible to take out the alternator and bang with a hammer rather then pulling the whole motor out again??

I'm thinking of getting some engine dampners...I don't know of its a good idea because I haven't read to many good things about them unless you have a built motorwith lots of torque then they would have a point.

I guess I have to star it to see how much it jerks back

As long as he has all the mounts in and tightened properly, he won't have any problems with the firewall. My roommate had these mounts in his car for YEARS and it has seen a lot of hard driving with no problems whatsoever.
