part number I mean. I was told you can run a shorter belt. I currently have a 4pk775 on my car I know you can get like 750 725 and 700.
These are all the same but with smaller in size for beter room against the firewall where you gotta bang the ***** out. But they work just as well right??

oh yeah first start
Wellnot really the first start but the first recorded start. The first start was how I found out about my throwout bearing.
It'll be home tomorrow after we bleed the breaks like I said in the video. I was also yelling out no Check Engine Light

Do you mean alternator belts?

Just get the alternator belt for a b16. You don't want it too overly tight by running too short of a belt. If you banged in the sheet metal you will be fine.

the day i took you to laguna beach, was a freak cold and gloomy day. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I am from Ohio I love the cold. Last winter I was out side in single digits with no gloves or hat. From what I hear it never snows in San Jose, or at least very rarely. So I will be fine. I will be going to tahoe to Snowboard often though. I will use the Hachi for that though.

James good deal man, I bet you can't wait to drive it.

Since when do you need to smash up the frame rail to install a motor that came in that chassis from the factory?

Because that the mounts you will use will put the motor in a slightly different location than OEM SiR was. The do this to make more room, for Turbos, and better axle alignment.

Better axle alignment than stock? I'm assuming it's "better" for a lowered car.

I don't know that the axles are aligned better or not, without comparing an EF9 to a usdm hatch with a b16 in Hasport mounts. I had to bang the frame rail in about 1/2" for the alternator pulley to clear. This is the standard procedure. Mr. Vega Box used another brand of mounts, which apparently moves the engine a lot closer to the fire wall than the Hasport mounts do, based on the intake manifold to firewall clearance picture he posted. I think Hasport factored in turbo clearance, header clearance, axles, shift linkage and engine placeement into the design. They must have found some reason to move the engine from the stock position.

Hasport spends a lot of $$$ on R&D for things like proper axle angle and whatnot. I don't trust much else. I was just curious if it was common to have to rearrange the frame rail to put a B series in there. I don't know much about B series, especially swap wise.

Don't ever do a K swap. You think banging the rail sucks. Try plasma cutting your crossmember, and welding it back together, after beating it with a hammer. Not to mention welding a whole new mount in. Allot of R and D go into Hasport's designs. Sometimes they even call me for help lol.

Yes it is. I still have a dented frame rail, and no alternator there. Its about 3 feet away actually plenty of frame clearence, the headlight bucket though was another story. LOL.

I still need to mod the cross member. I'm going to wait until I have it in the garage. It's a relief to see the mount finally welded in though.

Hell yeah man. I modded my crossmember, and it still was not enough. I had to do a test fit to get it right. I am thinking of welding the rear mount bracket that mounts to the crossmember to the crossmember. If I do I think I can cut the mount portion of it off to save weight, and just rely on the welds to hold it.

That's not a bad idea, I might have to steal it. I wish I could remove the cross member and all the suspension, but keep the car mobile.

Yeah, get another crossmember to mod, and then just swap it on. You page owning son of a bitch.

I try man, I really do. I personally would like to fab a chromoly rear crossmember, but the gains would be negligible. Thats not to say that I might still do it sometime in the near future. I mean we are working with hondas. Everything has been done a million times. Does that mean it was done the best possible way? No I think there is room for improvement on allot of things yet. My car is almost done, and soon I will have nothing to do, but fabricate parts for it, because the after market doesn't make them.

In better news. I talked to my body man. He is taking a week off of his day job to get my car done, so I can take a girl I went to school with to Cedar Point in the KRX in early July, really don't want to drive the beatR. He says that he can do it all in a week working on it 9-5. Oh and we worked out payment. $5000 in old car stereo equipment in trade. The **** collects dust. I used to work at an audio shop. So I am getting a paint job and getting rid of stuff I don't want to move.

Yeah, it sounds like that all worked out pretty well.

Mickey (the fab guy) had his brother look at my car (who's a paint body guy) and he gave me an estimate on the body work/primer. The price is quite reasonable, cheaper than me buying materials and doing it myself. He doesn't have a booth, though, so I'll have to find a painter, but that's no big deal. If I could have it painted and reassembled by the end of summer, I'd be happy.

Thats cool man. That all did work out well. I really want to drive the KRX to Cedar Point. I am afraid to park it there all day though, actually I am afraid to park it allot of places. I'm gonna be walking around with a portion of my engine harness, and K pro all day. My friend from school is moving to South Korea in July so I was happy my friend is helping me like this. I think I am gonna park right by the guard shack, and tip them $100, and hand them my Glock. Glock&gt;Pepper Spray, and a call to real cops.
