Yeah it does. I STILL can't figure out what that squeak in the suspension is, but even with it being bone stock, it does alright when I hit a freeway onramp at a bit of a spirited pace

Even upgrading from some Cooper tires to some used Yokohamas with less tread made such a nice change on my Integra. I don't feel like the grooves in the freeway are going to throw me into the next lane anymore.</TD></TR></TABLE>
so thats because of the tires???
I never even know that.
My Brigdestones did that and so did my Runways and I never knew why.
I was going to look into Hankooks but someone said they were not all that good on the sidewall

Even for daily driving, I think there should be a lot more considered than noise and price. I've driven on my fair share of cheapy tires, and they can really take away any and ALL confidence that you have in your car's road-holding abilities. EVEN if you've got some big brakes, nice shock/spring combo, etc.
If you have to slam on your brakes to avoid an accident, you want a tire that won't just give up when it's asked to do it's job. A lot of people really don't understand how much a good, quality tire can affect your car's braking. It's probably the #1 braking upgrade you can do. I'm not just talking about track use. I'm talking about if I was in the situation of having my wife and kid in the car.
I'm know I'm probably just speaking for myself, but tires like Runways give me NO confidence.
James, you already know my opinion on Runways

You're not just speaking for yourself Adam. I'd say better tires are actually a necessity more-so if you have the bigger brakes! With the bigger brakes it can be easy to lock them up, especially in panic situations on the street. If you have some cheap *** tires under there, you're jsut going to slide all over the road.

I'm pretty sure there are other things that can cause that type of "tracking" on the freeway, but tires play a HUGE part in that.
Which hankooks? what was the problem with the sidewall? Seems like a pretty vague issue.

I couldnt figure the squeak issue out either. I thought it was the bushings but they all checked out ok. Maybe you cant tell just buy jacking the suspension up! Is the transmission still acting ok?

I have to back track a some pages to find out exactly what was said. It was back when we were talking about tires in here.
I didn't money back then so I wasn't really paying attention but not that I need tires I figured I'd bring it up again.
I remember everyone saying Ziex were crap though along wiht some hidden Runways comments

I dont know why everyone is knocking the Ziex... they really are not that bad of a tire...
i've ran them on several cars (g/f is currently running them)
I have nothing but good things to say...
honestly for a low budget, daily driver, mild performance tire...I wouldn't recomend any else...

For my hatch, I got Proxee4's, as daily driver tires, and Azenis for auto-x.Love them both. The wagon has Federal 535's that are ok, for the price and since I don't drive the wagon agressivly.
here you go bro. i found you a nice comparison regarding the kumho spt and the falken ziex. im not bashing, just trying to help another EFer.

I agree, I have them on my crx now and they ride pretty good for a cheap tire.

I had a sqeak from my front suspension area that bugged the **** out of me for the longest time. I finally figured out what it was. Turns out when I did something a while back, I forgot to put one of the radius rod bushings back on and it was making the rod rub inside the crossmember. Bought some energy suspension bushings and replaced them and teh squeak has been gone since....It's worth a shot to look into it...

I'm tempted to sell all of my JDM stuff (wing, front end, moldings) and just buy a motor. Forget paint/body and all that jazz. I can do a lot of the body myself, maybe a nice paint booth primer job.
Any thoughts???

No motor now, but I have mounts and about half the stuff for a K swap.

I'm tempted. The chassis is going to be extremely stiff with the stitch welding and roll bar, so why not. I want it to be just as fun in the corners as in the strait's. I'll have time to make aesthetic upgrades later. Meanwhile I could be destroying local domestics with 3 times the displacement, all while in ZZZ mode.

you dont need to BAR your car, smog exemption my friend. research haz8st, he can do CNG conversions and then he has your car registered as smog exempt vechicle, no more smog for life and you get the lovely little BAR sticker saying your swap is legit and legal. wether you choose to keep the CNG equipment is up to you. is it all done legit and is completely legal.
