seroiusly, just keep it cool in here, we dont need it. People should be more willing to admit they are wrong.. its not a big deal. Its called humility, and its a good thing.

Sooo..... IS anyone still rockin a mid-wing. I guess its always been pretty pointless, or more of form over funtion. But i've always liked how an EF Mid-Wing looked on the right car

Anyone rockin one?.... I have one thats been sitting for like three years. I plan on putting it on this summer.

Well that's what I mean. I was looking into getting a block, and the guy said it didn't have a VIN plate. Another block I was looking at did. Just curious as to when they started putting them on. Just like the transmissions for our cars, they are just stickers for the original transmissions. Later ones have actual plates.

It all depends...
sometime you seen them being pulled off well with the car and sometime its just a bit much.
looks with USDM wing because it is not as long
looks with SiR wing just because it sticks out a lil further
looks with Chargespeed wing because it looks a lil ricey but then again it looks ok.
Its a toss up for me. It all depends on the car

I think the obd2 blocks have the plates on them. Just have the guy take pics of the block from the front under the dip stick tube. The vin plates are riveted on so if it was removed there will be 2 holes in the casting right above the oil pan and under the dip stick tube.

Cool that explains it, thanks. The one with out the VIN plate that I'm interested is a 95 and the one that did have it was a 98 so it makes sense now. Here Vega, you can see it in this pic (not the motor I was trying to get, but just for example)
