I fail to see the point for this trend. There is plenty of room to just mount a small battery right where the terminals go. Or why not just put the battery in the back. Then you can still get to it

Mines in the back, in a battery box. You won't see it with the cargo cover on. It just seems odd to put it behind the dash, plus, you still would have to run wire to install the terminals.

I dont normaly make that much...only during prevailing wage jobs
Prevailing wage=
The prevailing wage rate is the basic hourly rate paid on public works projects to a majority of workers engaged in a particular craft, classification or type of work within the locality and in the nearest labor market area (if a majority of such workers are paid at a single rate). If there is no single rate paid to a majority, then the single or modal rate being paid to the greater number of workers is prevailing.
Union pay (in this area) on average is about $40 ball-park...some of the guys make way more then that... a couple of the union plumbers that are working on a diff part of the project that we are working on, are working 7 days a week 10 hours... pay for a seasoned journeymen is $50+ factor in the OT they are picking up.....and DAMN!
weeks pay=
$2000.00 reg time
+2250.00 OT
= $4250.00 A FREAKING WEEK!!!!
on top of that they are staying locally at a hotel and they also get living expenses... DAMN.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'm all for getting the battery out of the way. That is the best way to open up the engine bay. Maybe I'm too lazy to do all that extra work though. I'm also not a fan of wire tucking. It looks bad ***, but I prefer access to stuff in case of a problem.

I agree with the wire tucking, my crx has mint oem wiring, after starting a tuck I relized I kinda like it that way. Im sure one day this "Trend" will fade out and everyone is going to be sweating mint oem plugs and ****.

Plus I think it's easier to pull the motor with the entire harness on, and I like to be able to unplug it easily. If you do a good job on the wiring of a swap, it will look like it was always there. It looks good on show cars though. Hopefully it will pass like the West coast trend of plastering stickers all over the windows.
I found this mint *** crx si on autotrader last night. I got an email back today but sadly it sounds fishy as hell.
They were only asking $2100 for it and it was listed as having just 52k on it.

agreed, it looks good on some cars and i respect the work and ingenuity, but a mint oem harness will never steer you wrong.

</TD></TR></TABLE>adding a backup power source is a better solution.and then hiding piezos in the vents is great...so when the thief is looking for the backup power he is going to have 150db in close proximity to his head. make the ****** deaf.
