Nice choice on the battery box. Mine is brushed aluminum, I expected it was the only color offered... but apparently that's not the case anymore.

i like to put then in that void behind the center console and under the dash on a crx. that way its hidden totally and its not big enough to cause a weight problem.
i have one of these. its an OEM miata battery. as you can see its sealed, safe for cockpit use only a **** hair bigger than the oddysey or braille auto. you can get them cheap at autozone or if youre me, i jsut ripped it out of my little brothers swapped miata.

That is a good idea, crxbart does a similar thing. I think mine is going in the cargo bin, fits so mint.

I got a parts car and was wondering if I could cut it off and weld the new one on. I know how to do it the right way I am just trying not to pull the motor again.
the best thing you can do is visually see if it is straight. try to shut the doors. did the doos hit the fenders.
inspect the chassis union areas like the shock towers to firewall and look for tell take signs of tweakage like chipped paint or busted seam glue.
if everything is straight, and the car will align and drive straight too, you can bang that area straight.
then go to your parts car and drill the radiator support off, BUT drill it until it falls off. if you have to use any force whatsoever you will tweak the support. just tack it lightly because if you heat it up it will also bend up.
those supports are weaker than soup cans and that is not an exaggeration.

I dont normaly make that much...only during prevailing wage jobs
Prevailing wage=
The prevailing wage rate is the basic hourly rate paid on public works projects to a majority of workers engaged in a particular craft, classification or type of work within the locality and in the nearest labor market area (if a majority of such workers are paid at a single rate). If there is no single rate paid to a majority, then the single or modal rate being paid to the greater number of workers is prevailing.
Union pay (in this area) on average is about $40 ball-park...some of the guys make way more then that... a couple of the union plumbers that are working on a diff part of the project that we are working on, are working 7 days a week 10 hours... pay for a seasoned journeymen is $50+ factor in the OT they are picking up.....and DAMN!
weeks pay=
$2000.00 reg time
+2250.00 OT
= $4250.00 A FREAKING WEEK!!!!
on top of that they are staying locally at a hotel and they also get living expenses... DAMN.
