This was my internal argument of about a month ago. I ended up with an 08 Suzuki sx4, slightly more performance inclined than say a fit, but not as expensive as a wrx. I was really leaning towards a new wrx wagon, but they are priced so much higher and thier gas mileage isn't great. My sx4 gets 29-30 MPG, and has selectable awd. Suzuki was/is offering some great incentives (free gas, college grad bonus, 0% APR, etc..). The aftermarket is up and coming; Roadrace motorsports makes a couple cool parts. It may not be your first choice or everyones best fit, but it worked for me and i don't regret it one bit

WRC version:

Tangent much? I really have to get some work done on my hatch. Has anyone pressed in the energy suspension rear trailing arm bushings? They look like they are going to be a pain to do. I have a couple more things to do to prior to its offroad debut on June 22nd

bryant, the EF looks awesome

Dont use Urethane bushing on the Rear trailing arm! They cause bad binding forces, and make for a very unpredictable handling car.

I meant the STi
but the legacy is the same price as the WRX depending on what model you get
2.5i is 24,xxx and the WRX is 24,xxx
but the WRX is faster

In the legacy range there is the base 2.5 non turbo, two turbo trim levels and a 3.0 flat 6 non turbo model.
They are very capable cars. There is a guy with an older, stock non turbo legacy wagon that comes to the local autox events and almost always gets FTDi-s

The legacy gt is basically a sti. With a few minor upgrades, it can be easily as fast or faster than the sti. Plus it has more room, and is more steath. I want a gt wagon, but I'm not sure about the mpgs.

my buddy had one with cat-less dp, and a tune making more than an sti. since his was de-badged no one ever knew what it was, so sorta sleeper. also leather, and no spoilers is a plus. but gas would suck. probably low 20mpg
