Before I saw that you said the cracks went through to the other side, I was gonna say it could be redone and then painted. But thats not an option for you.

BTW Joe, IMHO I don't like CF parts on the exterior that are not painted. CF hoods and what not are just too ricey too me. It makes it look too modified, not that I don't like modified stuff. I would paint that sunroof if it was me, but I understand **** shouldn't be fucked in the first place. I like the light weight w/o the look of raw carbon. I have contemplated getting a FI hood again in the future, and paint it. I don't hate it or anything, I mean I had the USDM SiR from them, and IDK, I just like stuff all the same color now, it just looks cleaner to me. I guess I am getting old. The exception would be a lip or a splitter. Only reason is it is gonna get smashed, and scratched, and screwed up anyway. Also I think BMW is gay for not painting the M3, and M6 roofs. I mean the greatest cars in the world are made of CF, and they have the self respect to paint it. Granted on the F40 you could see the CF weave through the paint, for the paint was so thin to save weight. God I love that car.

i think the carbon sunroof would look good with the black paint. small parts here and there on my car are carbon to tie it all together. if the plug was usable, i probably would have just painted it if those were surface scratches. they were cracks and it was folding in half like a wet noodle.

i just want another plug. if he refuses, a refund should be the only other option. the guy hasnt returned any of my emails or phonecalls since i shipped it back though.

Sounds like bad business

If you don't mind me asking, what company did you purchase your carbon roof plug from? I was actually contemplating getting one, but I'm still trying to decide between the roof plug or welding on a new roof panel from a donor car.

Btw, I was looking at lighterfaster.com a while back for a plug...I hope it wasn't them haha

True black is about the best color to pull off carbon imo. Also if K20EF8 is reading this, I may not like unpainted carbon, but I love your car I just think if your hood was painted, it would be uberdope! That goes for anyone else with an unpainted CF hood. Not that anyone is going to track me down and slash my tires or anything, just because I like painted CF better than unpainted. Also Joe, sorry to hear the BS your experiencing. Why does everyone have to be shady rip off artist?

*cough cough

they emailed me about an hour ago stating they are building me a new plug and I should have it in about a week.

I'll wait. I need to.

I waited for the 2 week (4 week) wait time when i first bought it.

Thats a track car you douche. They are allowed to look modded as hell, thats kinda the point. And you know I love your car. That ferry blue color needs something to set it off anyway. BTW it is morning, and my tires still have air. Slacker!

/\ Looks good. Only certain cars/color combos can pull off naked c/f, imo. Too much can kill it.

I think CRX's can pull off the CF thing better than hatches only because of all the black trim on them. Even if you have a bright color, the black and cf breaks it up.

Man I am so not ready for the meet. My car has pretty much sat and I have done nothing to either car. Now my wife and daughter may not be able to come with, because of other obligations.

I'm kinda disappointed, I had hoped to have more done by now. I'll still be there though.

Debating to roll completely stock or leave be.

I saw that and was reminded of the VW guys that use hawaiian shirts to reupholster door panels and stuff.
