it's a really good thing i walk to work b/c it was 97* and 67% humidity
so no a/c in the crx is only a pain when i have to drive somewhere at length
I'm still toying with the a6 supercharged idea. It'd be classy for sure. Oh & I'm fixing the a/c, just gotta find some time to diagnose it.

This was the route I was planning for my CRX as well, after seeing STREET's og setup, plus I really didnt want to pull my engine so soon after the rebuild. Now that I have the Civic with the B16, I was gonna take it for the crx, and as I get older and more tired I'm tempted to leave the B16 where it is and still pick up a SC.
By the way though, remember, the Jackson SC is not widely available anymore, if you want a new kit, you need to find a shop that has leftover inventory. Moss and Jackson no longer have them available.
LOL, so soon after I talked two fellow members out of not abandoning their Honda projects, I found myself contemplating the same thing recently. Dont get me wrong, I love my EF's and EF's in general, but I do hate putting so much time, effort and money into inflated parts pricing, to have a car that will only see occasional driving due to worry about theft.
When I build a car, I want to enjoy it at will and drive the hell out of it. I honestly contemplated selling the CL, the Civic and the CRX and just picking up a used ES300 and a MK II MR2 Turbo (or a 240Z).
Dont worry, just a guy rambling, I dont think I'll do anything that rash just yet, and if I did, I definately make sure both cars went to good homes. I may just be speaking out my *** since I havent been able to work on either car for so long. Maybe once I get back into them, it'll remind me why I like them so much.

I might be trading in the Honda Fit.
It's still worth more than I paid, so that's a good thing. now, I gotta see if I can/want to dish out the payments for an evo X.
I have a buddy at mitsubishi that can get me into one below invoice. I'm gonna have to crunch some numbers. GAS PRICES being part of the equation.

That's a big concern of mine as well. I'd like to get a wrx wagon, but it's hard to beat the mpg's of a civic sedan. A fit is still a bit out of my budget.

I'd just keep the fit. I don't see gas prices going down anytime soon, and if you want something fun to drive (faster than an evo
) you've already got one parked in the garage.

I really like the new wagons. I dont know anybody at subaru.
EDIT: ...oh wait, yeah I do. Hmmmmm. decisions.
the honda fit is boring as hell. i had fun at the race track and i enjoy the mileage. but i think any car would have been fun on that track.

My new A/C compressor came in yesterday. Paid $142 shipped/insured for it on ebay. It's a reman. Sanden compressor. I fixed my air last year, but the compressor clutch locked up and it stayed on one day while I wasnt using it so it just froze the lines and made the motor act funny as hell. Luckily it didnt cause any other damage. This 95 degree weather is killin me. I can't wait to get that new compressor installed and the system charged again.
you're right adam. but i want something with 4 doors, that will pass smog, and is still cool. (to me anyway)
i should have kept the ridgeline. i loved that mother[freak]er!

If I didn't shoot weddings I'd just motorcycle it around everywhere.
Anyone else notice old Honda bikes becoming harder to get a hold of?
Tangents anyone?
My trip to Asheville & back burned about 3 qts of oil. No lie.
If the BMW M coupe becomes too far fetched of an idea I may shoot for a civic si sedan.

I hear you. I'm getting a little bored of the DA, and how impractical it is. Sure it has a backseat, but hardly anyone can fit back there. I miss having 4 doors.
I'm tempted to get a late 90's-early 2000's Subaru wagon, but at my current financial situation, I have to face the fact that I already have a car that gets 30mpg and doesn't have a monthly payment. Regardless of how much more i'd like the subaru wagon over the DA.
I just need to do a few things to the DA to tide me over i guess. I'm tired of these LS mesh wheels. Anybody wanna trade?

However you are also right about gas mileage...almost everycar i can think of that I think would be a nice DD and cool to boot, seems to have a penalty as far as gas mileage. And as Adam said, I dont think it's going away anytime soon.
Gas mileage alone kills a few choices even more than pricing does. I'm just lucky my commute is like 9 miles. If I were still treking to Westwood, there's no way i could keep using my CL, I'd have to daily the CRX.
Shoot, today I saw a freaking nice range rover sport on some nice 20's. If gas wasnt an issue, I'd take one please.
